Florida Officials Shred Jimmy Carter's 'Shockingly Partisan Lies'

Florida officials have put the worst president in modern American history in his place.

Jimmy Carter's latest paranoid fantasies about the presidential vote - apparently he fears that John Kerry, like Al Gore, might not be able to steal the election - are as botched as his four years of White House malaise, according to officials.

"This is a shockingly partisan opinion piece, and it's unfortunate that a person such as the former president is being used by the Democratic Party for low-level political rhetoric," Jacob DiPietre, press secretary for Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, is quoted as saying today in the Washington Times.

"It's clear that [Carter] doesn't have his facts straight. The governor believes that it's ironic that someone who has spent so much time and so much energy encouraging faith in the elections of Third World countries would go to such lengthy, partisan extremes to undermine voter confidence in his own country," DiPietre said.

Carter, the abettor of Marxist tyrants Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, "made no attempt to get up-to-date information before writing a critical opinion piece and never tried to contact the governor's office or that of Florida Secretary of State Glenda Hood," the Times reported, quoting state officials.

'Lies'

Rep. Katherine Harris, who was Florida's secretary of state during Gore's failed coup attempt of 2000, noted that Carter "appears radically misinformed" about election reforms, "or he is seeking to plant the seeds of illegitimacy for any election a Democrat does not win."

She said, "Either way, Mr. Carter, who once pledged that he would never lie to us, should avoid spreading the lies of others."

Unfortunate? More like par for the course. Carter is an utter disgrace, even for a Democrat.

Everyone should gently remind any Dem who repeats Jimmeh's lies that Jimmeh is now quite elderly and may not have the sharpest mind, at this point in time.

We'll say trust us Jimmi it's not a trick we promise to wake you up.

The one good thing about Jimmah is that thanks to his utter incompetence, he's replaced the much maligned Millard Filmore as the worst POTUS1 in our history.

1 - some may argue Franklin Pierce was the worst.

She said, "Either way, Mr. Carter, who once pledged that he would never lie to us, should avoid spreading the lies of others." When Jimmy Carter said, in l976, "I will never lie to you", that was his first one. I think Jeb should challenge Jimmy to wrestling match.

I wish Florida officials would come out and tell the truth: that there was nothing wrong with the voting system, and that problems in 2000 were caused by those attempting to illegally vote. The so called hanging chads were clear evidence that someone was punching through a bunch of ballots at one time. I know because I've done it myself -- on MLB all start game ballots back in the '70s.

When you actually get to deal with one of these bottom feeders, you realize just how much they hate the truth.

I started debating some folks on the Houston Area Homeschool list who were posting propaganda such as this. It didn't take long for them to ban me for "namecalling" in spite of the fact that I never insulted anyone on the list, only bottomfeeders like Carter and a few turncoat republicans like McCain.

Carter and his ilk seek to delegitimize any and all opposition. Their pursuit of political power is ruthless and total.

Carter is despicable! He proved, towards the end of his miserable term in office, when he debated Ronald Reagan that he was incapable of debating Daffy Duck.

Katherine Harris is a gem!

Carter has remained bitter over his 1980 lost to Ronald Reagan.
\
He maintains the same arrogant posture of moral superiority that
made him think he could cite Amy Carter as an authority on world peace in his debate with RR...

Presidents and Vice President who squandered their golden opportunity of leadership.

"...unfortunate that a person such as the former president is being used by the Democratic Party for low-level political rhetoric,"

I figure that it is Democratic Party deception. While they all "pile on" to create panic over Florida they are doing dirty work elsewhere in the US to steal the election.

May they be found out and completely exposed at every turn and every level in every place where they are attempting to deceive!

I disagree. He was dispicable from the beginning of his term when he signed the blanket pardon for draft dodgers.

Actually, I also think he's right on this one. It's his website, he can choose to do what he wants with it. Just because it's online doesn't mean it's automatically public-domain.

Quite so. As I did, even some of his members are commenting that he can configure his server to block links from any or all outside domains.

After cooling off from his little fit, I hope that's what he does.
