John Kerry (news - web sites) for president on Nov. 2. In a rare public announcement, Eisenhower said he switched his party affiliation from Republican to independent after 50 years after losing confidence in his former party. He said Kerry has demonstrated courage, competence and a concern for tackling the "widening socio-economic gap in this country."

Yeah, I just saw that on Airliners.net's Forums. Our resident black, racist, communist is just drooling because in his words "more and more true conservatives are supporting Kerry".

His father is probably turning in his grave, but seriously, why should people even care about what this guy thinks?

I hear the son of John Kennedy's sister-in-law's grandmother is voting for Bush. Where's the AP on that?

Ridiculous.

Fine. We'll give them an Eisenhower. But we'll raise them 300 electoral votes.

There's another Kennedy relative as well - he goes by the name of Arnold. I'm guessing he'll vote for President Bush.

I believe that his "piece" ran in the Manchester (NH) Union Leader. I sent a "letter to the editor" suggesting that Mr. Eisenhower was hiding behind his name and refusing to provide an email address or other address where we who disagree with him could comment.

John Eisenhower is a damned coward. And you can quote me, if you wish.

No.......Ike was more or less apolitical. Both the Dems and the GOP wanted him to be their presidential candidate, but Ike went GOP.He certainly wasn't a Conservative, but neither was he a RINO.

Don't use the term RINO,when what you really are trying to say,is that someone wasn't/isn't a Conservative.
