Two weeks ago our Bush yard signs where proudly surrounding the front yard. Over the last week the have been mysteriously disappearing. Has this happened to anyone else out there in Freepland? The Kerry guys must be getting desperate. More signs have been ordered!!

Sorry to hear about the thefts. You can't even say they are 'Kerry guys' doing it, since his own supporters are so lukewarm to him and his candidacy.
Don't worry...I've been taking Kerry/Edwards signs and replacing them with Bush/Cheney signs....hee hee.
I had a "W" sign taken from outside my apartment (Kenneth City, FL). I get a lot of foot traffic in front of my place, so it was just a matter of time.
GRRRRRR! Look at it this way, though. The librats must be REALLY nervous to resort to theft.
Thats alright, I found what I can only guess to be dog feces rubbed on the back window of my car on the W'04 sticker I have there.
Someone had a thread about signs being stolen about a week ago that was very funny. I haven't been able to find it again. If anyone can point me to it, I'd love for my husband to read it.
Here in Cali, it's just part of the cost of doing business. We got our first signs in August, and it's been taking about four weeks for 100% to be either vandalized or stolen outright. Now that we have more out, it may take longer. Dunno.
Interestingly, the Kerry signs seem to remain indefinately....
I volunteer at the local Repub. headquarters. Today a gal came into the offices and said someone stole one of her bumper stickers and they also put a Veterans For Kerry over her Bush sticker. This is a Republican stronghold. Kerry people are getting desparate.

There was a funny thread about this subject the other day, and it was reposted several times. Someone will post a link here to that thread in due time no doubt.
It helps if you post the Bush Cheney signs next to a sign with a picture of a big, hungry looking dog with the words "TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT AND EATEN" on it.

I still have my signs...just checked...but I did notice my neighbor also still has his Kerry/Edwards signs...think I'll even the score...JUST KIDDING...ITS AGAINST THE LAW

Called the local police and they had nothing to say...the Kerry signs are still up around the town. I work in education, my W04 sticker is the only one out of 100+ cars!! I get a bit of grief from the lib teachers. I control the network, may it is time to do battle!! Sad group of folks.

NH is a battleground state so yes, I bet the Kerryites ARE getting VERY nervous. Put the sign up and train a video camera on it running in a loop or get a vicious hungry dog that only eats DemocRATS!

Every year during an election I hear about yard signs being stolen around town. Most of the time it is a bunch of kids just causing some trouble.
Print this out and put it up:
I live 2 blocks from the polls in my town in California. I have an 8 by 15 Bush sign that is going up between two trees at 5 in the morning on election day. just my little way of telling my liberal neighbors..."Mornin'!"

My sign is safe, as is my neighbor's sign. Two democrat signs down the street are safe. I guess I live in a tolerant neighborhood, or the rabble hasn't found us yet.

I have two Bush yardsigns in my frontyard, and so far they've been safe. My mom, nextdoor has one. I thought about making a sign that says, "Gunowners for Bush", just for added protection of my signs...LOL
Speaking of which, a local man here in our community who owns a gunshop has a Kerry sign in his yard. How uneducated he must be!!!!!

I remember being on a night exercise with my Marine platoon at Camp Geiger once, and walking into a "flash-bang" in the woods that was detonated by a trip-wire I had stupidly walked into. I was blind for about a half hour.
Another time my mailbox, which was sitting proudly upon a 4x4 post, got ran down (deliberately) by somebody driving a pickup truck. So I put in a new post (at least it looked like a post) which was actually four thinner boards nailed together around a solid steel pole hammered deep into the ground and packed to the top with concrete. It looked just like the old post. Somebody tried to run that mailbox post down and ended up with a real problem, plus a headache.
Anyway, about your signs - - I suggest you get creative.
You must be in a battleground state. Here in NC, there are so few Bush yard signs available, that the Republicans steal them from each other. (Just kidding, we wouldn't do that. Of course, some Republican would have to have one first anyway.)
Honestly, I live in a metro area and have seen only ONE (1) Bush/Cheney yard sign. I've seen the W-04 bumber stickers everywhere!
I had my Bush sticker taken off the back of the car and a few days previous some words scribbled in the coating of dust on the paint (Metro Detroit area).
I fear it is going to get uglier and should the Dem's loose, I do not put civil (potentially large scale) unrest past them as well.
My only satisfaction was that he got the grease all over his hands and steering wheel as he speed away. (heh, heh, heh)
Yes, happened to me. I live in Central Illinois. Just went out and got another one the next day. My neighbor across the street has rented one of those huge sign boards and every day has a different anti-Kerry slogan. It's a hoot. My next door neighbor is a big lib. It's fun to create a little excitement in the neighborhood.
Yep, just today in Austin, TX but that's pretty par for this area.
We need to give the "W" salute to those who have the Bush/Cheney bumper stickers on their cars, as well as keep an eye on our neighbors with signs in their yards.

This is really off topic, but your post reminded me of something.
There was a commercial about security devices which are placed on doors. They go off when one part is separated from the other. They were cheap too. I could swear it was Firt Alert, but I have gone to their site and not found those specific devices. Has anybody here own one of these gadgets?

Law is what man makes it....according to the UN the war in Iraq is illegal. Killing is illegal but we do it. Its a bunch of frickin yard signs for petes sake.......definately not a world event in my eyes, and way to much fun to needle a liberal....its sssooo easy.
