Two of the three anti-Michael Moore films were sold out when I tried to get tix. I missed my chance!
Guess I'll have to wait for their network tv premieres.

Right now: 'Celsius 41.11'
ping
Bump!
"In the Face of Evil" played to a packed house that responded to its comprehensive overview of Ronald Reagan's 40-year struggle against totalitarianism with several spontaneous outbursts of applause, and gave the filmmakers a standing ovation lasting several minutes as the lights came up. The film thoughtfully places the current war on Islamic fascism within the historical context of the fight between Good and Evil over the past hundred years. President Reagan's extraordinary courage and vision are on full display. Congratulations to the filmmakers, and to Jason Apuzzo and Govindini Murty for putting together this daring and much-needed festival.
I also saw Celsius 41:11.
The film provides an excellent analysis of the issues brought up by Michael Moore, John Kerry and others in the far left.
More importantly it also illustrates why President Bush is the right man to wage the war on terror and why John Kerry is dangerous to our national security.
This film should be viewed by the American public but is they are in need of financial support to do so.
As we say in Chicago: "I'm witchoo!"
I saw Michael Moore Hates America today. It was *very inspiring and imo, well done. The best part, for me, was to be in a room surrounded by like-minded folk. I brought my stepson who after the debate, informed us that he was voting for Kerry. I had to run home after the movie but he stayed for the Q & A with the director so I'm hoping it left a big impression on him.

The Right Stuff
In Hollywood, a Film Festival That's Rated GOPBy William Booth
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, October 4, 2004; Page C01
-- snip --Billed as the first conservative film festival in Hollywood, the three-day affair showcased comic shorts, one about the "ultimate minority" in Tinseltown ("Greg Wolfe: Republican Jew"), an epic homage to Ronald Reagan and his battle against Soviet communism ("In the Face of Evil") and a snappy doc on tart-tongued commentator Ann Coulter ("Is It True What They Say About Ann?"), in which Coulter signs the T-shirt of a leftie college student with the words "Have fun in Guantanamo!"

Ron Smith, an activist with the conservative Web site Freerepublic.com, sat for the whole festival in the front row. "I'll give this to Michael Moore," he says. "He created a chain reaction. We have to thank him for that." He agreed that the anti-Moore, pro-Bush films were slow out of the gates, "but I'll tell you, this is just the beginning. We've got the Internet and talk radio and now we've got films. This is just a dry run. It'll be better next time around."For more information on the films screened, go to www.libertyfilmfestival.com.CLICK HERE for the rest of that thread
