Oh, but they do.
Maybe not the ditzy earth mamas and the weenie college professors, but the real cadres do. Just look back on the '60's and you'll see all kinds of images, photos and armed bravado with gun totin' lefties posing like they're gonna take out the man. Some tried and, fortunately, a good number of them died.
About 15-20 years ago, I read an short back-page article about a van that was abandoned on a freeway someplace. The cops took a look-see and found that the thing was loaded to the gills with explosives and heavy-duty hardware. If I recall correctly, prints pulled from the van matched those of some leftist fugitives. Two things came out of that...(1) the radical cadre has gone away - they've only gone underground, and, (2) they got some heavy hardware.
The upside is that for every whacked out leftist with a piece, you've got at least 100,000 average citizens with equal firepower. In addition, you have a phenomenal number of armed Americans that mean to stay that way, so things look bad for all the aged Che Guevarra types and their Gen X,Y and Z'er apprentices.
They wanna be bad? We got somethin for they @ss...
Uh huh, I'm seeing a pattern here. Smashed windows of repub headquarters, burglarized repub offices in WA, nazi symbols on lawns of repubs, destroying Bush signs, threatening bodily harm to repubs, tearing up a 3 year old girl's Bush sign, definitely all committed by an open minded tolerant liberal with plenty of confidence that Kerry will win handily, cause he's so smooth.
Because if it works- he WINS.
Gore tried hard. He was SURE the fix was in, that's why he had the meltdown.
A friend of mine crossed the picket at what was once GM Fisher Body in Michigan. Some of his union "brethren" smashed every window out of his car and threatened unspeakable acts on his wife---all because he needed to make a living and agreed to a $00.20 / hour concession.

I am an American and a veteran. I love my God, my family and my country. I personally have been voting for conservative candidates since becoming old enough at age 21 in 1966.
I bear you no animosity. We are on the same team in that we both want to reelect GWB and conservative members of the congress.

You know my mom grew up in Germany during WW2 and this is unthinkable. G.W.Bush is a honest man. He has really been effective. I am vomiting at kerry.
That is just sickening of those Dems. Unfortunately, many Nazis never saw justice and were given asylum in nations like Argentina, Paraguay, Egypt, and Syria.

MADISON, Wis. -- Madison homeowners are livid after vandals defaced their homes.

Someone burned an 8-foot-by-8-foot Nazi swastika on a home's lawn near where Bush-Cheney signs were posted. The vandals used grass killer to spray the symbol.
Several nearby homes were vandalized -- all were within a two-block radius on the West Side, near Ice Age Trail, News 3 reported.
State Republican Party officials claim it's the latest in a series of desperate acts by Democrats.
Homeowners are angry, but resolute in what they plan to do next.
"I just cannot believe that someone would take the liberty to do this," said homeowner Rob Schaeffer. "We're appalled that someone would choose to destroy our property because they don't believe in our political views. My signs are going right back in the yard. This is my property. We live here. We have rights."
Police are investigating the criminal damage and told the homeowner it will be investigated as a hate crime, which carries stiffer penalties.
I shudder at what they might do when they lose.
In the past, dead voters were apparently enough. This is a party that is self-destructing in front of our eyes.
I hope the FReepers out there have enough self-protection...
Political vandalism: A west side backer of President Bush found a large swastika in his yard Thursday, right next to a Bush-Cheney sign.Police spokeswoman Emily Samson said the 35-year-old man who lives at the residence is not Jewish.
She said the 8-foot-by-8-foot swastika was probably made by pouring some chemical over the green grass, causing it to turn brown.
The resident also reported other political vandalism in the area, but police haven't confirmed any other cases, Samson said.
