XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX

DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?

Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:

"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."

So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?

What did Kerry place on the podium?

Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.

[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]

A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.

"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."

Developing...

I'm sure the MSM will investigate and report this promptly. Sarcasm.

"DEBATE MYSTERY: WHAT DID KERRY SLIP OUT OF HIS POCKET?"

Nail file, lip stick, comb, beauty cream or some orange rub?

Doesn't it make sense that it was probably Kerry's team that asked for the "no notes" rule?

They think Bush needs prompting and can't think for himself.

So it wasn't just "cheating" it was a "set up"?

If it was lipstick and he didn't have a mirror than we know he wears it often.

As with just about everything else John Fraud Kerry has done in his life -- he signed on to do something and then knowingly and willfully broke the rules for his own personal advantage.

Like father -- Gigolo Dick married a rich Forbes woman -- like son -- Gigolo John married TWO rich women -- a rich Thorne woman and an even richer Mozambiquan (that is, from a communist country) woman who married to become rich!

Drudge linked to them, and the site went down. ;-) Need some more bandwidth, poor things.

IF it can be proven, then doesn't the charge 'KERRY CHEATED' hold some weight? My caveat is, only if it can be proven. Don't want to charge this without serious proof, otherwise we'd be like those DU conspiracy types.

My own deep down feeling is he had the questions beforehand.

But even so, what's the point? Is it wrong to bring a note card? I really don't know and am curious. I think most people will just shrug it off.

The candidates were specifically forbidden, by mutual agreement, to bring no notes into the debate. They were allowed blank paper and a pencil or pen, pre-screened by the debate officials. The pencil and paper were already screened and awaited each candidate at the podium. Pre-written material is cheating, just as hiding notes during a test is cheating.

If Kerry can't follow the debate rules, how will he follow the summit rules? Or the UN rules? Or the World Test rules?

Kerry pulled Jim's list of questions out of his pocket!

Along with the answers that he jotted down during his "manicure".

The thing about removing the lights at the beginning probably focused everyone's attention on them. We were looking to see if they were there and not looking to see what Kerry was doing.

Yes, a significant cheat. The debate rules prohibited charts, notes or "other tangible things"... the only items allowed at the podium were blank paper and pens examined by and placed on the podium by the Commission ahead of time.

What a non issue....

And just how do you figure that??!

If Kerry brought a lil' cheat sheet to refer to, then that would give him a distinct advantage.
