If one debate can cause an 8%-10% swing in voters, then there is no hope for this country. People are too dumbed down to see reality any longer.

This is really odd. I still have a hard time believing that bush lost 6-8 points in a single night over the debate.

remember also people it is over a weekend. we do terrible over the weekends.. but still, yes, this is troubling.

I disagree. It isn't bloody likely. On the day before the election, you don't get <2% undecided. This is a manipulated poll. At best, they pushed for a response.

this seems hinky

before there were about 8-10 % undecided, now it's down to only 1%??

Something is odd here.

okay, this means that newsweek was pretty much on track. Is this a bounce? Or is this a true shift? Only time will tell. Bad news

Likely 49% each

Registered voters, Bush 49%, kerry 47%.

Bush approval rating is at 50% (still at magic number)

I am not surprised. Reagan lost 6 points on his first debate.

This means lots of states that were safe are now battlegrounds again and it probably means IA and WI are back to leaning Kerry.

Well, there's two polls that say Bush lost his lead....I wouldn't be surprised. I talked to so many people that were disappointed with his debate performance. Many people I know said Bush appeared timid, which is not a good quality to have as president.

Manipulated poll. Answered a Gallup poll recently and they are basically push polling for Kerry if you ask me. It is as close to a push poll as you can get.

newsweak wasn't on track. It skewed party affiliation in both surveys to give kerry a 'bounce' from the debate he didn't get from the convention.

This poll smells. Have to see internals and when polling was done.

There was never a Bush landslide in the works.

10-14 states and DC are just out of reach and always have been.

Bush will win his 2000 states and a few more, for 325 or so EVs (+/- 25), as I have said all along.

Anything more than that is fantasyland.

There is a fickle bunch that will swing with the wind blown from the MSM. The wind will be taken out of their sales soon enough.

if you're counting the newsweak poll as one of them, it's been debunked several times on this site already.

I think we better wake up a face reality. Bush make have comitted one of the biggest political chokes in modern history. The election is now close enough that it can be stolen.

Bush blew it big time!!
