Waiting for a transcript, but I heard Lawrence O'Donnell shout on today's TMG that he could care less that the troops are demoralized by Kerry's incessant cynicism about the Iraq war. Essentially he said they should keep their mouths shut and fight. I almost fell out of my chair. Did anybody else hear the exchange? Shocking!
Please write to McLaughlin producers at comments@mclaughlin.com to let them know that O'Donnell crossed the line of decency and really does not deserve to have access to an otherwise prestigious panel.
I'll post the transcript as soon as it is available. If anybody has TiVo or VHS, please record this program at the earliest opportunity. I am not convinced the transcript will catch all the unbelievable words that O'Donnell used. TMG needs to feel the heat on this one and soldiers should be informed how little respect Democrat operatives like O'Donnell (former writer for NBC's West Wing and campaign staffer of the last great Democrat Senator Patrick Moynihan)have for our fighting men and women who are putting their lives on the line for all of us.
Thoughts?
-T
Thank you!
-T
Send the video to Sean Hannity, he'll see to it that the troops understand exactly where these assholes are coming from.
I'm writing the email right now.
Kerry's remarks are going to lose us this war.
And things like today's NYT article accusing the pres of LYING AND TREASON have to be adressed too.
I'm emailing them next.
Ping.
I really would...
Just another CLASSIC EXAMPLE of the anti-military, anti-Americanism if the RADICAL LEFTIST DEMS.
Fine patriots -- now tell me THEY GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS COUNTRY ????
Lawrence O'Donnell is a prick on the subject of war. Especially if any sort of scrutiny is applied to Kerry's Vietnam service, O'Donnell goes ballistic, leading me to believe his own service (or lack thereof) is a sore spot for him.
O'Donnell (any relation to Rosie?) was almost transfigured in that exchange -- he was lit, eyes bulging, suffused by a baleful inner glow, as if he were inspirited by Pazuzu.
That's what happens when 'Rats get up a bit in the polls. They revert to their mephistophelean state.
That's just great.....that's it, Im now behind my hubby's desire to retire, depending on the election outcome.....we had eight years of that shit, no more!
Here is the bio of the frothing lunatic bastard. He was so out of line I am still almost speechless. We need to get on this and quick!

Lawrence O'Donnell
Senior Political Analyst, MSNBC
Lawrence O'Donnell, Jr., is the creator and Executive Producer of a new NBC Washington-based drama set in the Senate. The show, entitled "Mister Sterling," will premiere in January, 2003. Mr. O'Donnell won an Emmy as a Producer of NBC's "The West Wing" where he served as a writer and producer for the first two seasons of the show. "The West Wing" episode he co-wrote on the death penalty won the 2000 Humanitas Prize for writing that "communicate(s) those values which most enrich the human person."
ODonnell is also MSNBCs senior political analyst and substitute host of Hardball With Chris Matthews.
From 1993, through 1995, O'Donnell was the Democratic chief of staff of the United States Senate Committee on Finance. The Committee has jurisdiction over legislation involving taxation, international trade, health care, social security, welfare, and other income security programs.
In 1992, O'Donnell was chief of staff of the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
From 1989 until 1992, O'Donnell served as senior advisor to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York. He began his professional association with Senator Moynihan as director of communications in the Senator's 1988 reelection campaign.
A writer prior to entering politics and government, O'Donnell published the 1983 book Deadly Force, which was adapted as a CBS movie in 1986. He has written essays and articles for several publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Vanity Fair, Manhattan Inc., People, Spy, and Boston Magazine.
ODonnell has also appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Nightline, Charlie Rose Show, Politically Incorrect, and several other programs.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, O'Donnell is a graduate of Harvard College (Class of 1976). He lives in Los Angeles.
I nearly shot my TV the last time he spoke on PMSNBC.
The guy needs his clock cleaned.
O'Donnell is the poster boy of the rabid and hateful left. I cannot believe McLaughlin did not step in to put an end to his frothy rant. It's possible he did not hear exactly what he said in the exchange. I know Blankly and Buchanan heard him and they were visibly angry and attempted to respond before McLaughlin quickly moved to the next topic.

p.s. A reptilian mephistopheles...
Speaks volumes.
McLaughlin's pro-Kerry. They probably rehearsed the comments McL was too insecure to make by himself.
Lawrece O'Donnell is an EVIL person with a smile on his face....
He's a prick on the subject of anything not involving a 'Rat in the White House -- look at West Wing, which he produced for the first two seasons. He even portrayed Jeb Bartlett's uncaring, b@stardly dad in one episode, playing Bartlett Senior as a nasty, Republicanoid gold-plated louse.
O'Donnell's an UltraRat. Check his vita at a 'Rat-friendly site, here.
He's been getting more and more agitated as he sees his "golden candidate" sink further and further.
As a 'Rat he keeps hoping. As an analyst (irrespective of his words) he can see the writing on the all.
This is just a glimpse of what life would be like, under a Kerry presidency. The alphabet news outlets may be comprised of many different letters, but they are all DNC.
You can't oppose the war and support the troops.
Never heard of him.
LOL
The deal is, he is a Harvard man, ultracool in school. The kind who wouldn't talk to you or me on the street, unless he were consciously condescending for some reason.
Boston and Harvard says it all. Stone waste of humanity.
Earth to the brainwashed, the war has been WON! Establishing a freely elected Republic style government is what is at issue now. And that is not up to us to determine. Its up to the Iraqis.
Could it be that his 2003 show Mister Sterling was an unbelievable flop? Bitterness might be eating him up?

Freep the commie. What an ungrateful bastard.
McLaughlin used to be a good show, now it is just a platform for useless left wing nitwits like )'D and Eleanor Clift, and she is creepy...McLaughlin has moved way left of center lately.
think of the paradox they will be in. The will have to start showing things getting better and that it was a noble cause, thus proving W was correct... If we fail under the Lurch regime, then he would look bad..
what a conundrum it hurts my head....
He went out of his way to remind people of his prior prediction that Kerry would win all three debates and would be elected president. I will definitely tape the Friday November 5 show just to relish the look on the baffoon's face when he must concede that he was wrong about Bush.
-T
Which is why I cannot figure out why Fox News puts Eleanor's sour face on. She has all the personality and disposition of a bag lady's underwear.
That is one of the most spot-on posts I've ever seen here. Kudo's to you.
He's attempting to undermine support for this war just like he did for Vietnam.
His sister is actually overseas trying to undermine the support of our allies.
These people are despicable if you ask me.
Some analogy -
Let's not forget what had gone on before - under Kennedy and Johnson
Naturally, the DNC news channels will parrot whatever he says.
I wouldn't be too sure of that. He has had his knickers in a twist over the Iraq War, since Bush's preemption fails McLaughlin's Catholic doctrine of "just war". McLaughlin was equally hostile to Clinton's air war over Kosovo, if not moreso -- although I agreed with the Clintonoids about that one.
Turning the other cheek in an era of nuclear proliferation will get millions killed, but McLaughlin can't bring himself to see that the Catholic teaching has been overreached by Edward Teller and the hydrogen bomb. So he goes on bitterly opposing Bush and the war and generally playing Sir Thomas More to Bush's Henry VIII on the subject of war and peace. Except that nobody is calling for McLaughlin's head -- and he's got Belial sitting right next to him on the show, in the person of Larry O'Donnell, agreeing with everything he says that is critical of Bush and the war. That ought to be a clue that he's wrong, right there.
From the post: "Were the troops in Vietnam 'demoralized' when Nixon campaigned on pulling them out? Of course not."
Why do people insist on matching the war in Iraq to what went on with the Vietnam war - ?
By the time it got to Nixon, I believe the troops were well beyond "demoralized" by what the likes of Kerry's kind had loaded into the mix - along with all the flower children -
Guy is such a phony it makes my ears bleed.
Listen to this Fresh Air piece on the flop Mr. Sterling. Listening to O'Donnell is like watching the grass grow, but it is illuminating nonetheless.
-T
Please limit profanity.
Aid and comfort to the enemy in my book
His lack of patriotism is the least of his problems apparently.
-T
Oops. Here is the Fresh Air link.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=1184204
The part about how it is impossible to write provocative conservative characters into the show because they only say "no" while Dems are more "activist." Guess Nat'l Defense would not quite fall into O'Donnell's stereotype...
-T
This jackass forgets that these brave men and women are volunteers not draftees. Of course if he keeps popping off at the chops and pi$$ing these great Americans off, Kerry will need to bring back the draft. I knows dozens of troops who are planning to bail ASAP if that treasonous ba$tard gets elected. The majority of the kids in the military worship our commander-n-chief because they know he really respects and cares about them--and he's a man of courage and conviction.
