This is a good number. The ABC Snap Poll after the Bush-Kerry debate had Kerry winning with 45%, Bush 36% - and we know how that turned out...

Yeah, they can't spin this one. Cheney was THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and Eddie was his subordinate in the senate and Cheney had to give him a spanking on stage for not coming to work.
To: AmericanMade1776
He did a great job!
Careful in our celebration though. This will be spun into "Chaney is the brains of the outfit"

I'm not surprised. I thought Edwards came off as a show horse. He sure is purty, and he's a silver-tongued devil, but is there anything behind the rehearsed lines? I couldn't see it.
Cheney, on the other hand, is all substance and no flash. Not a bad guy to have around in a crisis. |

Of course VP Cheney won the debate. Sens. Kerry and Edwards are probably the least qualified ticket to run for the Presidency since Mondale/Ferraro.
To: ambrose
The only question that needs to be asked after tonight....Can you in your most remote nightmares, picture John Edwards, as President of these United States?????
To: marineguy
ONLINE POLL. The ABC one is a real poll, not an online one.

The press loves to hate Cheney. But as Bush said earlier in this campaign in simple terms when asked what the difference between Dick Cheney and John Edwards was? - He said 'Cheney is qualified to be President."

That's an online poll, and open to repeated voting.
CBS's poll of "undecided" voters, meanwhile isn't much more objective.
CBS has it 42-29 Edwards-Cheney.

What is what everyone expected from SEE-BS.

I don't think Edwards likes Cheney much either. He has a tendency mop the floor with professional liars.

"Yeah, they can't spin this one. Cheney was THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and Eddie was his subordinate in the senate and Cheney had to give him a spanking on stage for not coming to work."
...And when Edwards did manage to show up for work, just like tonight, the junior Senator didn't have the first clue about what was going on. Even in this simple debate he couldn't manage to answer the direct questions asked of him.
It's true (and obvious) that VP Cheney won tonight, but moreover, it was undeniable to any objective, rational, and sane adult that Senator Edwards blew it.

Unfortuanely, I think that the Twins and Yankees won the debate. We'll see how the rating are. Any honest person would have to admit Cheney beat Edwards soundly. The Senator's arguements didn't seem empassioned, they seemed desperate.

At least now Edwards knows where to send a card on Father's Day.
Dear Dad,
Thanks for the spanking. I know it hurt you more than it hurt me. I promise to show up for work from now on. Someday, when I grow up, I hope to be a man like you.
Signed,
Cheney's B*tch

I thought Edwards really fumbled around with the "gay" marriage issue. He really looked like they wanted it both ways, if you'll pardon the expression.

Cheney throttled the "Breck" boy. Can you say "gravitas." Holy smokes. Our hit man tore the hide off that little boy.
Well, the VP did his job and stopped the bleeding and defended the administration admirably. Now it is time for Dubya to relax, prepare and take it to Lurch. He knows Lurch is going to come after him so he will be prepared and "loaded for bear" this time. Dubya will make the case for unwavering, strong, moral leadership and why it is so desperately needed in the world against terrorism. He won't be cocky or over-confident this time. We need Dubya now -- more than ever.

Pat Caddell on Hannity and Colmes said that Cheney ran away with the debate!

Bush debate: $10
SpinCycle afterwards: $20
Cheney glaring at Edwards(with sheepish look on face) and saying something similar to: "Every Tuesday we meet on Capital Hill but this is the first time I've ever met you.": $100
Edwards looking like he'd just been punched in the stomach: PRICELESS!!
Caught on tape too!!!
Edwards reminded me a LOT of Klinktoon when he did his "we're not going to raise taxes on those with incomes under $200,000 to pay for these programs." Didn't believe it then and don't now.
