The funeral issue may or may not be the case. But it depends pretty much entirely on the extended family. It would be the same situation if the couple was your normal male/female variety. If they get along with the fam, then they are included in the funeral plans. Etc. Regarding inheritance, you can make a will and leave your stuff to anyone you want. It doesn't automatically go to your live in sex partner. But that doesn't mean they cannot make legal arrangements already. If there are children involved, the inheritance rights would stand as normal for them.
We do not owe all sex partners public benefits. Normal marriage is recognized as a vital building block of society for the continuation of humanity. Even persons who like gay sex have only one mother and one father. Protecting mother/father, male/female marriages benefits homosexuals too.
See, I wasn't the only one who never heard this name before.
What REPUBLICAN job does he hold?
Monica Lewinski
Vince Foster
Sandy Berger
Yes, the winner's circle surrounded Clinton...
Well we still have 4 years yet so maybe (I'm keeping my fingers crossed) we will have someone new out there. I don't like any of the Senators or Governors at all! They are all wimpy to me. After having Bush and Cheney they are seem like (may I say it?) girlie men! Should I duck now? ;-)
ahahahahahah Im laughing fritzz because MY other half is a democrate, BY BIRTH only... hes been in Carolina since he came to Bragg during VietNam... we are a mirror couple to you hahahahahhaha
HE voted for Bush and will this time around too....
WHY ISN'T CHENEY PRESIDENT?
He's got Haliburton money, but he doesn't have bush money............
So he's bottled up Colorado for the President with votes, great.
When George Bush asked me to sign on, it obviously wasn't because he was worried about carrying Wyoming. We got 70 percent of the vote in Wyoming, although those three electoral votes turned out to be pretty important last time around.
What he said he wanted me to do was to sign on because of my experience to be a member of the team, to help him govern, and that's exactly the way he's used me.
And I think from the perspective of the nation, it's worked in our relationship, in this administration. I think it's worked in part because I made it clear that I don't have any further political aspirations myself. And I think that's been an advantage.
I looked at Edwards last night and was in total fear. What would happen if that man WAS President?
He is probably not the Presidential type, but he's a great backup for Pres. Bush. He just doesn't have the charisma to be a leader. In another era he sure could have been the top contender though...before television made superficial qualities matter more than they should. He is quite brilliant and experienced and articulate.
I'm afraid that Cheney didn't then, and doesn't now, want to get involved with this election circus.
The Clinton goons have brought us their disgusting group of slim balls. Folks, they're here to stay. Only the voters can stop this. We shall see after this election.
The mere fact that Kerry is as close in the polls, is not a good sign. With the Liberal influence of academia, media, and the entertainment industry, I have become very pessimistic. ,
See post 17. He's Governor of Colorado!
Well, Clinton was governor of measly Arkansas, and in 1988 (4 yrs before he won in 92) nobody'd heard of him either.
Spread the word.
He's also actively working against the Democrat-pushed effort to split Colorado's Electoral votes according to popular vote.
Cheney<>Powell 2008
He's a good egg. And he's charismatic, almost Reaganesque. He could beat Hillary.
Personally, I think Cheney would make a great President, but honestly, I don't think he really wants the job. He's not a glory hound; he's content with the role he has.
