No, this IS an opportunity; it's presented by Ron Paul and the likes of you people who roam this forum, pontificating about being the "real, true" conservatives and anybody who doesn't agree with you is NOT a "real, true" conservative, i.e., a "fake" conservative. While he presents stinging arguments against the policies of the liberal and moderate Republicans, I cannot recall even one time that Rep. Paul has been at all disparaging towards them. Sorry I cannot say the same about the liberals/moderates.

Take some time and show me where I said that about Ron Paul.
I'll wait.
BTW, even though I never said that about Ron Paul, others sure did.
It's three weeks until the election; this is not the time for whiners to be giving the enemy ammunition from within our own ranks.

They express no opposition to the welfare state, and will expand it to win votes and power; No, they believe in using it for conservative ends. They do not support the liberal welfare state.
Could you explain this a bit further? I've heard others claim this, but I cannot figure out how going against the bedrock principles of conservatism can promote conservatism.
Neocons are not constitutionalists.
This sums up exactly why I personally am creeped out by the neos.

"Signed TWO bills into law that arm our pilots with handguns in the cockpit" They ain't armed yet.
I suppose that you expect the President of the United States to personally hand out the firearms, minutes after signing the bills?
Get real. Sheeese.

from the article:

The Faith Based initiative program has churches provide some social services with Federal Funding. The expected result is that the indigent will get financial aid, as well as occupational and moral training.
