STATEMENT OF SENATOR JOHN KERRY
RE: COMMENCEMENT OF MILITARY STRIKES IN IRAQ
Thursday, March 20, 2003
WASHINGTON, DC Senator John Kerry issued the following statement in response to the commencement of military strikes in Iraq:
It appears that with the deadline for exile come and gone, Saddam Hussein has chosen to make military force the ultimate weapons inspections enforcement mechanism. If so, the only exit strategy is victory, this is our common mission and the worlds cause. We're in this together. We want to complete the mission while safeguarding our troops, avoiding innocent civilian casualties, disarming Saddam Hussein and engaging the community of nations to rebuild Iraq.

This is an obvious CBS style forgery for we now know that at the time Mr Kerry felt we had rushed to war.

I reposted it because of Kerry's comments today, an iteration of the French political line that "sanctions worked".
Here, he speaks directly to the fact that Saddam wasn't complying with sanctions and inspections.

Let's not get too caught up in the past and keep in mind that Kerry's message today is that Iraq is Vietnam and he will fight it better (even though it is an unjust and immoral war), because he is John Kerry.
We need to be focused on why Bush is succeeding there, first and foremost, and secondly, why Kerry would fail.
People are going to be focused on the present and future, and that is where we must focus. Kerry's past must be used in such a way as to illustrate what he might do in the future. That tangible connection must be made. Otherwise, it is just rhetoric with diminished impact.

Now his message to our soldiers in Iraq and their families is, "Wrong War, Wrong Place, Wrong Time."
His message to 9/11/2001 victims and survivors should be, "Wrong Plane, Wrong Building, Wrong Time."
He is sickening.

We're in this together. At that time, he was in favor of us all sticking together. So I guess he was in favor of togetherness before he was against it.

They are saying on Fox that Kerry called Bush a liar and O'Reilly said if Bush loses the debate tomorrow he loses the election. They said it's because of Ohio he had a 7 point lead now it's tied.

WHat? Funny tagline? I got it from Michael's Moore's own personal diary - it is his most cherished wish -

SADDAM HIMSELF is the weapon of mass destruction. It's his AMBITIONS and CONTROL which gave him power. He is the likes of Hitler who was counting on the US to lose their resolve.
BE WISE!

Now, I don't see anywhere in there where he says that the sanctions are working and we should continue them, do you?
That is what I have been told he said today.
