Bush Sign: 1, Dem Car: 0

subject: Dem car taken out by Bush sign

Got a cheerful start to my day this morning. My son called, said that someone tried to take out his Bush sign, going offroad a bit to destroy his Bush sign.

Problem? Son didn't notice, but he had put the sign by a yellow painted iron pipe placed by some county agency, marking a gas line.

The dem car----pushed the heavy yellow pipe all the way over.

Cost of one Bush sign?---priceless, the dem car with the now yellow and crushed front bumper. Ha, served them right.

He did say he's moving the other sign away from his mailbox. And putting the remaining sign by the pipe again.

Now look for the Dem idiot to sue your son for damage to his car.

That's why my sign is close to the front window. It would take quite a off-road adventure to get that sign.
Not that I'm real worried about that in Georgia where Bush is going to win by double-digits.

Don't be too sure. I lived down the street from one house in which a pickup drove through the living room window and was lodged there for hours. The house is still trashed and it's been over a year. (no political signs involved)

I normally don't read Boondocks but I happened to see it last Sunday. The kid, whatever his name is, has a booth set up with a sign reading "Honk once if you support Kerry. Honk twice if you support Bush"

A car drives by and honks twice. In final frame we see the kid getting ready to hurl a brick at the car.

Nice.

John Edwards would no doubt take the case. Afterall, the pipe was supposed to be visible. Son was negligent in covering it up.

Actually, my bet is that the Dem does not sue the son, but rather George Bush.

I had a neighbor who kept getting his 4X4 mail box post run over. One day he got fed up with it and welded a 2x2 square Iron frame. The frame had an X base that was the same height as the post for the mail box. He buried this about 2 inches in the ground and then placed a box made of 1X4s that looked like a 4X4 post.

Two days later one of the neighborhood kids tried to run over the mail box again. Only this time he ended up with the iron trashing his oil pan along with punching a hole in the transmission. I understand it cost several hundred dollars to repair, the kid was charged by the Postmaster and no one ever drove over Mr Murphy's mail box again.

It works. I had a mailbox post that got run over and wrecked repeatedly. I replaced the standard post with one that is about the size of a railroad tie on end. End of problems.

Would love to see the picture.

We had the same thing going on here, only it was with mailboxes. My neighbors, myself and several others had Bush/Cheney signs in our yards. As soon as we put the signs up some local punk(s) would play mailbox baseball
every night. This only happened to the people who had Republican signs in their yards. My next door neighbor,
an elderly lady in her 70's put bricks in her mailbox one night. The next time the thug came around he got a broken arm for his trouble.

I dont know if the son got any photos of the incident. And if he did, I assume it is too early to make them available right now.

Reminds me of the time when I was, oh, about 8 or so, and I would build snowmen in my yard, and neighborhood teenagers would cut across our lawn and run them over... at least, until I built one right on top of, and surrounding, the fire hydrant on the corner of our yard...

Funniest thing I ever saw, and probably the worst beating I ever got from my parents...

Ah, the good old days...

How about those strips the state patrol will deploy when they want to end a car chase? ;0)

Excellent!! This reminds me of a time a few years back. We don't have curbs where I live, so I have some decent size rocks along the edge of my yard to discourage idiots from drifiting onto my lawn. One Sunday morning, I saw a tire track swerve onto the lawn and back onto the road, and the rock was gone. A scrape mark on the pavement began there and went down the road for about a quarter of a mile. The rock had gotten lodged under the vehicle's suspension and the idiot kept going that way. He eventually stopped, and I found my rock about 20 feet back from the road in some bushes. Sadly, there was no oil puddle anywhere to be seen.

A former co-worker had a similar problem until he buried a 10 foot long piece of railroad rail 6' into the ground with 2 yards of concrete for a solid base. He Said it got hit a couple times, but never moved.
