According to the NY Times:
I recall that theory all over the internet about the possibility of the photo being doctored, but I don't recall Bush or the Bush campaign ever being the ones making that claim. Anyone got a link, a quote, or is the NY Times just blowing biased smoke into our eyes?
it is called a flack jacket...... it is his body armor ..... jezz
This is incredible, this is in the NY TIMES??????!!!!!
I heard it was the bullet proof vest. How low is the left going to go? How many "institutions" are they going to take down with them? I can't say the next thing, because the mods would (rightly) take down my post.
Considering it didn't help much, I doubt it will be front page stuff
NY Slimes - all the spin DNC needs
It was a "pen".....
The NYT's is going crazy trying to keep Kerry from being a loser...
Notice that they finally reviewed "Unfit for Command" and panned it!
BIAS, BIAS, BIAS. Oh, well, like c-BS, the Gray Lady has her own embarrassing problems with the truth. Ha, ha, ha. No one takes the NYT's seriously. Even the libs know it's slanted to the left. Not that the lefties mind that, but it's getting to be a tad obvious and can no longer be considered "the first and last word in news."
"This is incredible, this is in the NY TIMES??????!!!!!"
Why are you surprised? The NY Times has had a vendeta against GW since before he was elected.
We need to accept that the press is dominated by dems and say so openly to everyone. Then they will have to defend their actions instead of passing as impartial jurnalists.
I think the bulge in Bush's pocket was a copy of "Halliburton's Secret Plan to Draft Every Child Into A War For Oil So We Don't Have To Fund After School Programs And Can Continue To Destroy The Environment By Turning Our Backs On Our Traditional Allies In The International Community While Ignoring The Scientific Benefits Of Embreyonic Stem Cell Research" by Karl Rove, published by Fox News.
The NY Times and the entire MSM, insults the intelligence of everyone in America, with the exception of idiots of course.
Bush wears Kevlar at the debates. You can't trust the TV networks to screen their people.
Just more desperation, and the continuous manufacturing of news by the leftist media -- and the New Jork Times is one of the worst. This is a classic example of what journalism has degenerated to, now that the liberals have taken it over...like everything else they touch..schools, cities, media, you name it..and we are not talking about it turning into "gold". You fill in the blank.
It's called a "strawman," and if you take that away from the libruls, they don't have much else.
YOURS was MY reaction also....he's wearing a bullet proof vest, you idgits!!!! SHEESH.
Yeah, it was obviously a pen.
Oh yeah, everyone knows just how quick Bush was with the answers during the first debate. What a bunch of morons.
I saw a thread that was started about the Libs saying it was a hidden radio receiver. Seveal FR's offered the suggestion that the photos might have been doctored.
I don't understand why the Bush campaign just doesn't say it's a vest. Do they not want anyone to know he wears one? And wouldn't Kerry be wearing one also? Tucker Eskew say in no uncertain terms that it is not a kevlar vest on MSNBC the other night.
The whitehouse said the pres was not wearing a bp-jacket.
It's the handle of the knife that the rats have stuck in the only guy fighting for our safety.
But, don't consider that a challenge to their patriotism.
Exactly.
And it is supposedly visible in tv shots as well as the still photo. According to NY Times - take it for what it is worth.
Why announce this to would be assasins? "Make sure you do a head shot."
Do you really need to ask???
The deterioration of the NY Times is actually quite sad. It's been one of the great American institutions, but the libs running it today are taking it right into the toilet. Pathetic.
LOL-may I borrow this?
More overwhelming stupidity. IT IS HIS BODY ARMOUR YOU STUPID LIBERAL IDIOTS!!!!!!!!
Hilarious ping! It's called a vest!
And they expect the President and the White House to give a detailed explanation on what is protecting the President's life? Are these people stupid or are they trying to put his life in danger? Morons!
Okay, I have never posted a news story so I am going to take my frustrations here. I just heard a newscaster on the radio say that Kerry has actually and for real accused the Bush administration of causing the flue shot shortage!! I could SCREAM!! He has got to be totally nuts, or I have never seen anyone that desperate!
I saved the pic, blew it up on image viewer, the bigger it got the more it just looked like a wrinkle in the jacket. The bigger the pic gets the more it seems to smooth out.
None of you are of much help. I did NOT ask what was under Bush's jacket. I am asking if Bush or the Bush campaign made the claim that the photo was doctored.
I don't know about this, but there was just an announcement for one of our local TV news programs stating the Bush campaign is reacting to the accusation of the President wearing a wire during the first debate. First I've heard of this one.
Ha-Ha--if he WAS wearing a wire during the first debate,it sure didn't help him much! They are probably trying to deflect the fact that KERRY was wearing one during both debates!
The "Gray Lady" is turning out the be the DNC's latest Monica.
OK, thanks. That makes sense. I hadn't thought about that way.
Me too. You must be watching Liar Liar on Channel 7 too, huh? One of my favorite movies!
...and Kerry is the cigar!!!!!
Ooooh...Good one!
anyone???
I didnt ask what was under his jacket.
I didnt ask what was under his jacket.
I did not ask what was under his jacket.
Hey, lowbridge ... did you ask what was under his jacket?
The descent to the gutter...Former Grsy lady now known as gray whore.
