If the name of a "Big Money" Political Party Donor with ties to Enron were discovered on the Saddam's Coalition of the Bribed, what do you think would happen to the Candidate of that party?
What if that Candidate of that Party was John Kerry?
Newsweek drops a bombshell on the Kerry Campaign: Texas Oil Baron and Big-Time Democrat Donor Oscar Wyatt has received perhaps as much a $22 million dollars in profits through oil allocations bought illicity from Saddam Hussein.
From MSNBC: United Nations: Oil-for-Food Fiasco?"
Law-enforcement sources say Americans who participated in alleged oil-for-food scams also may face further investigation. The CIA deleted from Duelfer's report names of Saddam's U.S. oil-for-food favorites. But an uncensored copy of the Duelfer report obtained by NEWSWEEK indicates Houston oil mogul Oscar Wyatt got oil allocations from Saddam which could have earned him and Coastal Corp.?a company he founded and ran until 2000?profits of more than $22 million. Wyatt and wife Lynn are major donors to political causes: since 1989 they have given nearly $700,000 in contributions, of which more than $500,000 went to Democrats. Wyatt told NEWSWEEK that his company did buy oil from Saddam but that he never did so personally, and that his company's dealings all complied with U.N. rules. ?Mark Hosenball and Steve Tuttle
Who is Oscar Wyatt? More than just a oil man, he's an outspoken critic of both Gulf Wars, and a big time Democratic Party Donor...
As per Houston's Clear Thinkers:
The 10-K also disclosed that one of El Paso's units has been subpoenaed by a grand jury from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to produce records regarding the United Nations' Oil for Food Program governing sales of Iraqi oil. The unit, El Paso CGP Company, was formerly Coastal Corp., which the company acquired in January 2001. The former chairman of Coastal -- Oscar Wyatt -- was an unabashed critic of Operation Desert Storm in the first Persian Gulf War and has been a vocal public critic of El Paso's management over the past several years.
Wyatt appears to have used his ill-gotten gains wisely - buying the leftovers of Enron.
According to New Age Business:
Enron said that the company and the Official Unsecured Creditor's Committee decided the CCE offer was best. Enron previously had said NuCoastal LLC, a company run by Texas billionaire and Coastal Corp. founder Oscar Wyatt Jr. had offered $2.2 billion in May.
So how does this affect Kerry? Well, perhaps we should couch it in terms even the Old Press can understand:
Big Oil, bribed by Saddam Hussein, helped pay for John Kerry's Campaign. Money used to buy Hussein's army's guns helped pay for John Kerry's campaign. Guns used to kill American Soldiers helped pay for John Kerry's campaign...
This may explain why John Kerry thinks the war in Iraq was a mistake. I believe the mistake may be his.
Isn't this so typical of the elite fascists who control the Dark Side of America?
That's a rhetorical question, right. ;^)
5.56mm
The question isn't what oil companies bought the oil, the question is what was the UN doing with an $84 Billion dollars slush fund.
Sound like the MSM is pointing the finger at Bush with a 3 Card Monty Attention Deficit Disorder Big Oil story.
Kerry donor on take with Saddam. Kerry donor colluding with CBS. Kerry's foreign policy adviser Sandy Burglar steals NSA files. Kerry supporters use terrorist activities to influence election, shooting at Bush-Cheney supporters.
I'm still waiting for Rathergate and all to be investigated by the Feds. Joe Lockhart was pressing the flesh in the St. Louis Spin Room untouched by his corrupt behavior having consequence. Think this is high on the list?
Yes!:)
So it WAS all about the oil, except that the benefits redounded not to Bush, Cheney and THEIR friends, but to friends of John Kerry? That's just TOO sweet!
Whoa... thanks again for the flag. Will ping my list.
Good morning and thanks again.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent miscellaneous ping list.
Last week John Kerry said it would be interesting to find out about any Americans involved in the Oil for Food scandal. He said it with a tone of insinuation, which, to my ears, sounded like he was hinting it would be someone connected with the White House.
NEWSWEEK: Democrat Donor received
$22 million in "Oil for Food" ScandalExcerpt:So how does this affect Kerry? Well, perhaps we should couch it in terms even the Old Press can understand:
Big Oil, bribed by Saddam Hussein, helped pay for John Kerry's Campaign. Money used to buy Hussein's army's guns helped pay for John Kerry's campaign. Guns used to kill American Soldiers helped pay for John Kerry's campaign...

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Before the Gulf War in 1991, Wyatt attempted to trade Coastal's refining and marketing assets for regular supplies of crude oil from Iraq. With Coastal director and former Texas governor John B. Connally,qv Wyatt met with Saddam Hussein and flew twenty-one hostages out of Baghdad. Wyatt was later critical of Operation Desert Storm and was investigated for possible violation of the United States trade embargo.
So what do conservative Texans know about this elitist left wing fascist leader of the dark left side?
Sounds like this bastard had been in bed with Saddam and possibly al Qaeda for over a decade.
I bet the MSM cabal tries to paint Wyatt as a R. He may have supported the first President Bush, but his more recent activities indicate what a RAT he truly is. Thanks for posting this, BillF. I would have thrown something at the TV.
Haven't surfed the entire thread on this subject. Did anybody post Wyatt's donation list?
I have a liberal co-worker who also has an eBay business. Would love to share this news with him.
Can you provide a link to back this up?
Thanks!
Dont forget that the Enron thievery started and prospered during the Clinton administration and was uncovered and prosecuted during the Bush administration.
Add to that, when Enron was in trouble they went to the Democrats for help and Clintons Treasury man Robert Rubin made phone calls to the Bush Treasury dept looking for governmental help for Enron. Bushs Treasury dept turned Rubin and Enron down flat.
The Democrats are far dirtier on Enron then anyone else.
Is this true???
It would be interesting to know which Republicans, if any, received any of the remaining $200K.
I didn't see it, but I'm currently operating with a severe coifee deficit.
Post the data if it is handy.
Please add me. THX!
Ping!
But Grampa... What about these wishy washy wimpy girlie men of NBC? They must now take their sinister turn in the media "lock-step" to bring this awful Texas oily administration to it's knees!!! (dripping sarcasm off)
This may explain why John Kerry thinks the war in Iraq was a mistake. I believe the mistake may be his.
You'll never convince the koolaid drinkers.

ABCNNBC BS and the other left wing maggot infested mediots turn a blind eye and deaf ear to this reality and try to create myths about GW.
Their 7 decades of lying and spinning to Americans without being exposed as perverted con artists is coming to an end.
Great search finds and thanks for posting them.
Exactly how long was sKerry a prosecutor? The best I can put together a timeline with all his treasonous and political pursuits, he couldn't have served in that capacity much longer than he was in Vietnam. He WAS in Vietnam, wasn't he?
The Stephano Dimera connection?
There's no stopping that guy...
It was a huge ad on the upper right corner of the page with a link that I didn't click on, but should have and brought it here for FReeperdom to judge HARSHLY!!!
But.....but....I jus don't unnerstan. Everybody KNOWS the Bushes are the only ones involved in big oil. How could a Democrat be oil rich and illegally involved with oil? (sarcasm off)
vaudine
Andrea Mitchell said on TV this morning that most of the Texas oilmen were republicans.
That may or may not be true, but my question is this: Why should anyone be surprised that oil companies and oilmen should be in the business of buying oil in the Oil for Food program?
Unless it's proven that they gave Saddam a kickback from their profits illegally, I don't understand why their being in the market for oil is a questionable activity.
It may be rice wine to you... but it's saki to me!!!
It sure pist me off to get home from a grand two days at Tahoe and find Soros with a big ad on CBS.MarketWatch.com tryin to whack the President. Even had his own ugly mug on it!!!
It was far from a fiasco. It was a massive criminal enterprise, perpetrated by Saddam and in consort with a massively corrupt UN, especially France, Germany, and Russia.
This is awesome.....could not have happened at a better time.......Turn out the lights the (democratic) party is over....L.O.L.
kaaaCHingggg Bump
sweet!!! :-}
He also donated at least $100,000 to Republicans. This is not so black and white as one would wish.
Even worse. Those people are crooked.
NEWSWEEK: Democrat Donor received
$22 million in "Oil for Food" Scandal So what do conservative Texans know about this elitist left wing fascist leader of the dark left side?I don't recall the name myself, but let's find out if someone else knows him.
Excerpt:
Newsweek drops a bombshell on the Kerry Campaign: Texas Oil Baron and Big-Time Democrat Donor Oscar Wyatt
has received perhaps as much a $22 million dollars in profits through oil allocations bought illicity from Saddam Hussein.
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Texas ping list!. . .don't be shy.
No, you don't HAVE to be a Texan to get on this list!
What ... no lifting of sanctions on Iran??
Oh wait .. wasn't Joe Biden doing that?
"I bet Ted Kennedy's Name is gonna come up, in this... I have a weird feeling..."
Now THAT would be sweet!!!
However, the man got away with murder, as did the Clintons.
Kennedy will be regarded as a hero among the left for taking bribes, just as Rather is a hero among the left for forging documents.
Don't forget Bonior and McDermott, chillin with thier pal Saddam before the war, saying Bush would "mislead America" on enemy soil. Did they get paid off too?
When did the Clinton family make that mid-eastern camel riding trip in relation to the USS Cole incident?
Biden Buddies Up To Pro-Iran Lobby

"When we learned that Sen. Biden was planning to hold a fund-raiser at the California home of Dr. Sadegh Namazi-khah, we immediately contacted his office to express our dismay," a prominent Iranian-American activist tells Insight. Why dismay? "Dr. Namazi-khah is well-known in the Los Angeles area for his support of the ruling clerical regime in Tehran and is one of the regime's leading unofficial lobbyists in America. We thought that Sen. Biden might not know his background. Getting the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to appear at this event will certainly be seen by the regime in Tehran as a show of support."
On the eve of the fund-raiser, which brought an estimated $30,000 into Biden's re-election coffers, a Biden staffer told the activist that the senator's staff "had all the facts necessary to make a decision," and he was planning to attend the fund-raiser despite the protests.
Several participants who paid to attend the event tell Insight that Biden arrived at 8 p.m., stayed until 11 and delivered a sweeping condemnation of President George W. Bush's "Axis of Evil" formula
Wow, what a find! Do you think Bush/Cheney's campaign people know this? This really stinks, considering how these liberals have been hammering the Bush admin. for ties to Enron; and squalling that they only care about the rich corporations, particularly the big oil companies!
Then there was the big talk about the Bush families ties to Saudi Arabian royals, which is true, and no secret. But now, knowing this, it appears that some other people have their hands in the big ME oil cookie jar!
Of course, we can't expect them to admit it! They'll manage to spin it so that it somehow is Bush's fault as usual>/sarcasm. Still, it is interesting that it would be "Newsweek" that would come out with this; especially since this publication is no real friend/fan of the President!
LOL! Took me a while :) Jeez, it's been years since I watched any soaps.
