Getting Physical....Union members turn out to intimidate Bush-Cheney campaign volunteers

We may be about to experience an election unlike any we've seen in a while. The Florida recount in 2000 raised passions and blood pressure and featured some demonstrations on both sides, but there was no violence. This year, lots of groups are jostling with each other to monitor the elections in battleground states. For its part, the AFL-CIO has promised to dispatch thousands of election monitors to battleground states to watch for any hint of trouble at polling places. From the initial reports, they may be the ones for have to be watched as potential troublemakers.

Last week, in Orlando, Florida, approximately 60 union protestors stormed and ransacked the local Bush-Cheney headquarters causing considerable damage and injuring one campaign staffer, who suffered a broken wrist.

Union members have always depended more on VIOLENCE and INTIMIDATION that logic. Its one of the reasons they're in a union. They do not want something they EARN, they want something they can FORCE someone else to GIVE to them.

Enough is enough is enough. Just like the free press reaching out to get the true word out it is time to let these punks in the unions know that economically they will pay. And I hope that a lot of other Americans will buy/shop with non union companies and stores. Let them know that even well after this election we won't forget. I even stopped buying seasfood products from Mass. and will support more friendlier states that support my ideals. It is my opinion that a state like Mass. is way out to lunch, but those type of extreme politics will pay the price. It may sound childish to some people, but at least I can satisfy myself. There is no one way I will ever shop for anything in Massachusetts. I started that months ago. I wonder. hmmm if we all banded together would it wake up the other so called media in America?

I have never been able to understand why unions think its better to have 20 men working at $20/hr doing a job that is really only worth paying $10/hr, than to have 30 working at $10/hr to do the same job.

If we took out all of the WASTED labor costs due to union rules, this country would be alive with jobs and productivity.

NY City Schools pay custodians something like $75,000/yr. Can you imagine that kind of pay to empty trash cans, mop the floors, and change light bulbs. What makes it even worse, once they reach a certain point, even if they REFUSE to do their job, its almost IMPOSSIBLE to fire them.
Some only go to the school a few hours a week.

A SENSIBLE judge would take their "contract" and shred it and say, enough of this STUPIDITY. Work for a REASONABLE salary for the level of your job and get loss and someone else will have a job.

CW II "Cold Phase" ping.

Here is an example of a Florida State Law that covers such situations. Those of you who live in states that have legally rendered the law-abiding to be nothing more than food for predators will have to devise other means:

776.031 -- Use of force in defense of others.--A person is justified in the use of force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to prevent or terminate such other's trespass on, or other tortious or criminal interference with, either real property other than a dwelling or personal property, lawfully in his or her possession or in the possession of another who is a member of his or her immediate family or household or of a person whose property he or she has a legal duty to protect. However, the person is justified in the use of deadly force only if he or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony.

...says she has found 3,000 new duplicate registrations in her district.

This is also disturbing; I have seen reports from all over the country about this problem with duplicate registrations. People are being "reregistered" without their knowledge or consent.

Granted, some of the "voter registration drive" groups may be doing it just to get the money they are paid for each registration. They may have no idea that there is the potential to make that person's registration appear irregular in some way, with the result that the person has trouble voting or is not allowed to vote.

Furthermore, they're sneaky: ACORN (the late Saul Alinsky's left-wing activism group) recently "reregistered" a number of people here in Florida without their knowledge, reregistering at least some of them as Republicans. This has no effect upon anyone's actual Dem vote, of course, but does make it look as if the GOP is trying something sneaky, rather than the Dems. In this case, the fraud was discovered because all of the "reregistrations" were dropped off together, filled out in the same handwriting, by ACORN members.

Stay safe. Hopefully diplomacy will win the day and the rule of law will hold. We need an election, and a peaceful one.

"60 RATs attack a Republican HQ and break somebody's wrist in the process...no big deal to the national press.
Isn't that special?"

If these union thugs had any intelligence they would organize and pool their resources, create new companies, hiring themselves and then they could collect union dues from their own company. Oh right, then they'd have to really work at something. (sarcasm)

The Dems know it's not a single front war, thus trying to steal the election through both voter fraud and voter intimidation.

This is real intimidation! Paging the Civil Rights Commission - where were all the headlines when the 1,000,000 black voters in FL were disenfranchised and intimidated? There were no headlines because that was, and is, a dirty filthy lie. And now, when there is real intimidation, you sit back on your collective butts and remain silent because you have an agenda against the President.

It does not take a gun to solve this problem. It takes a well-thought-out plan. Emotions can be calmed very quicly. Meant what I said.

What would happen if workers fought back? Would they be charged if it is in self-defense?

Depends on the jurisdiction. In North Dakota, the first question answers the second. You have a right to defend yourself (and third parties) from serious injury or death, using lethal force (only)if need be.

"Speak softly, and carry a large-caliber handgun."

Nah, not in this situation.

12 ga. Pump with Buck shot. Can incapacitate with a shot to the head or knees and when you run out of ammo can be used as an effective club.
