I'm assuming that most of their investments are in tax free munis, which is not a loophole. If there is a different explanation, such as offshore tax shelters, that would be bad forkerry.

Using democratic math, I have to pay three times as much taxes as he & T do.
The problem with the budget deficit is that Democratic Senators are not paying their fair share (Kennedy, Daschle, Kerry, et. al.)!
They should pass a law that says if you want to vote Democrat, you need to double the taxes otherwise due.

I'm assuming that most of their investments are in tax free munis, In that case, they would be getting hit by the AMT.
I'm assuming that much of this is due to Tereeeza putting millions of dollars into irrevocable trusts for her kids.
Remember, her reluctance to put out her tax return was to "protect the privacy of my kids."
