TESTIMONY ABOUT THE WAR THAT WAS "STAGED" IN KOSOVO
SENSE ^ | October 12, 2004

Posted on 10/12/2004 2:48:31 PM PDT by joan

After a four-week break, the trial of Slobodan Milosevic continues with the testimony of a German reporter who covered the war in Kosovo in 1998 and 1999.

THE HAGUE, 12.10. (SENSE) - Unlike Bosnia, where he was as a war correspondent from May 1995 until March 1996, German reporter Franz Josef Hutsch got the impression in Kosovo in 1998 and 1999 that "a lot of things were staged" or "orchestrated" and that the Kosovo Liberation Army had very good “PR advisers."

The German reporter is one of the few witnesses from Milosevic's list contacted by defense counsel Steven Kay during the four-week break who actually agreed to testify before the Tribunal.

Before deciding in 1995 to become a journalist and war correspondent, Hutsch spent 14 years in the German Army, reaching the rank of major by the time he left. As he recounted today, in Kosovo he mostly spent time with Kosovo Liberation Army members, getting to know all of the chief commanders. He testified about the KLA’s organization, structure and weapons and the presence of "foreigners" in its ranks. Among them, Hutsch claims, there were "officers of Arabic origin" and "mujahedin [recruits] from Bosnia" who underwent training in early 1999 in Turkey as air strike spotters for NATO.

The witness described KLA tactics as "throwing stones into water" with the goal of causing concentric waves. As he explained to Judge Robinson when asked to clarify what he meant, "the throwing of stones" consisted of attacks on police or military patrols, the aim being to elicit a harsh response by the Serb security forces. The KLA counted on their response being disproportionate and excessive, and the Serb military and police never failed them.

Hutsch testified that in the course of the Rambouillet talks in February and March 1999, KLA leaders he was in contact with expected NATO to intervene and were stepping up their logistic preparations for war, bringing in supplies of new weapons and military equipment, deploying their forces, and defining their key objectives. Hutsch claims there was even a "priority list of villages to be evacuated" which were in fact evacuated when air strikes began on 24 March 1999. The witness mentioned several Albanian villages in the area between Orahovac and Suva Reka that were evacuated on KLA orders.

However, Hutsch added, there were Albanian villages that were emptied after they were attacked by Serb security forces; according to him, "there was a mixed picture."

Slobodan Milosevic seemed absolutely unconcerned as he followed the testimony of the German journalist. When Judge Robinson asked him at the end of the examination-in-chief whether he wanted to pose some additional questions to the witness, Milosevic refused to, stating that once "his right is restored" he will ask that this witness be recalled so that he can question him.

After that, the cross-examination of the German journalist began. It will continue tomorrow.

Does this mean Clinton was bombing empty villages?

Partially empty. Some Albanians - about 1/2 - decided to stay and many of the non-Albanians were there.

But it shows that the Albanians, in many cases, were leaving due to orders of the KLA and not Serbs, and that the KLA was well organized and systematic in emptying villages.

People were screaming at the Serbs to stop the ethnic cleansing and threatened that the bombing wouldn't stop until they did, yet it was the KLA who was doing this. So Serbs were being punished for what the KLA did, and the public saw the refugees and believed the propaganda. It was a win-win situation for KLA and NATO who justified the bombing due to the refugee crisis which they created, and purposely.

Remember the old Peter Ustinov flic 'The Mouse that Roared'.
These folks know our liberals inside out and play them like a fine Stadivarius. They know just what buttons to push to make them do their absolute bidding. Kinda like Pavlov's 'Rats. That's why we call them 'knee jerk liberals'. They just have no clue. That's what that writer Morris said about Clinton on Hannity last night. Everything he did was a reaction to placate his bleeding heart. We need a leader not a yes personne. Putting sKerry's finger on the National Trigger is sheer suicide.

I just posted a similar article about this actually :)
I also found something from another report on Hutsch's testimony that I found interesting.

"The self-described embedded journalist with the Kosovo Liberation Army, or KLA, said U.S. army consultants recruited mercenaries from Bosnia's radical Muslim fighters to serve as officers in Kosovo. Mr. Hutsch also testified that the KLA used hit and run tactics against Serb forces to get them to respond with excessive force and draw NATO into the conflict. He said they trafficked women and drugs to get money to buy better equipment. And, Mr. Hutsch testified, they forced civilians to stay in villages that were under Serb attack. He spoke through an interpreter.

"Things were being staged. The KLA seemed to be advised by a very good PR [public relations] agent," he said. "There were situations - refugees [were] kept in the woods until Western journalists visited the refugee camps."

Hutsch also said that he had interviewed Mladic in 1996 and that Mladic had told him "he received no orders from Belgrade or Mr. Milosevic regarding the attack and that he wouldn't have taken any."

Major Hutch also testified that every single KLA unit had a Mujhadeen liason (ie commissar).

Thanks to Clinton

The post Kosovo War was not about the same claims of the KLA laid to in the 90s.

The Presevo Valley fighting was about the albanians not wanting Serbian law/military presence to thwart Albanian drug activity. velika trnovac has alleged 100% albanian cooperation for drug trade.

Presevo is a pig sty of a town. Dirty, trash strewn about, smells of filth.

It has the activity of a traditional market square of cairo, cars with no order of direction. they drive on the wrong side and zigzag to avoid other vehicles and pedestrians, including one mentioned cyclist.

The only people more vicious than KLA murderers are those who created KLA, then provided diplomatic, logistic and military support and finally legal impunity for the crimes.

This stain will never fade away.

If you mean the guy with the scarf depicting the Albanian flag around his neck, that's former senator Joseph DioGuardio. He happens to be the man behind the AACL (who is also the one behind the current petition for Kosovo independence).

The AACL (American-Albanian Civic League) is an Albanian Lobby group. They had a lot to do with Clinton's bombing of Serbia. Until recently they had a map of "Greater Albania" greating you when you visited there website, but it has been taken away and replaced with something more "acceptable". Thier web address is: http://www.aacl.com if you want to check them out. The original logo as well as the new one can be seen here: http://www.realitymacedonia.org.mk/web/news_page.asp?nid=3258
Fortunately RealityMacedonia saved the "greater Albania" logo before AACL removed it.

A Kerry regime will see Kosovo recognized as an independent state as the Albanians have the Dems in their pockets.

The Serbs need to flood their settlements in Kosovo with arms to ensure that Albanians can't enter, and then broker a deal for partition which will then put pressure on Bosnia since the RS will seek to secede from the fiction known as Bosnia-Hercegovina.

Quite well in Croatia, thanks for asking.

No more Belgrade party hacks running the show, and tourism is back to how it was in the 1980's.

If you plan to visit, I'll hook you up in Makarska, Brac, or on Hvar.
