The Unofficial Pre Pre-Debate Thread

Posted on 10/13/2004 4:10:17 PM PDT by rocklobster11

Here it is. I'm watching Hardball at the moment. Nicolle Devenish is doing a good job speaking for Bush, as always

Praying and watching the clock, here!

I have no faith in the MSM and how they'll spin the debate, but I have tremendous faith in our President.

Keep praying!

I made that mistake with the first debate. I have been on FR for about two years and have never read such a depressing pathetic thread.

Roger that! I came very close to throwing my monitor into the wall.

What purpose does tearing down his performance serve?

Best to focus on what is said. The over the top naysaying after the first debate did not help anyone but the dems.

That Bush is the right man at the right time is the message, so listen to what he says and amplify it. At the same time, instead of feeling one must offer "objective" criticism on their own man, focus on what Kerry says and make sure to communicate the harm his agenda would cause and that he is not to be trusted.

It is time to help Bush get his message out, not complain about how he alone sends it.

Kerry has talked about his top secret plans for months now, and it is just about to the point where he is getting ridiculed even by the media. Expect him to do more of the same tonite, and perhaps that will be the final straw.

I think it is sort of like prewedding jitters except the context is different. For the life of me, I cannot fathom how even 10 percent of the electorate would vote for Kerry. I just cannot fathom it. Maybe it is like my grandmother would roll in her grave if she could spend 10 minutes in modern day America. Maybe I am just old and out of touch. It is so weird.

Kerry supporter on Hardball just said he was looking to hear about Kerry's plan, because he is always mentioning it, but he doesn't know what it is. LOL!

Agreed.

The second debate thread was far more positive, but that first was a disaster.

Throwing out a reminder to everyone-

The MSM is NOT your friend. Nor are some of the sleepers and Trolls that have been appearing to depress the mindset around here. It's a strategy they planned far in advance so do not let them influence your mood.

Also, consider your words have weight. A lot of influential people read these threads looking for a weakness to prey on. Don't give it to them or it may turn into the next talking point of the week. Adjust your spines and prepare for battle. Do not fold an inch.

I agree.

This is Kerry's turf (even though he's dead wrong on the issues) and he'll spare no small expense to frame Bush as a hater of children and senior citizens.

Bush will be labelled as an anti-environment extremeist who's beholden to oil companies and other corporate polluters.

This is old news to us but for those viewers are out there watching, Kerry will do everything possible to make Bush like an unconcerned, uneducated a**hole.

Kerry will try for a knock-out punch, I believe. Bush has got to be on guard tonight.

I did a Yahoo Image search, looking for a pic of W praying. There were many to choose from, but to me this was the most powerful. (Please try to ignore the price tag in the corner)

Do not go to the on line polls. let them tilt way left. The dims have bots running on them so it's futile.

I know how you feel - I especially hate it when Hannity or Brit says that if Bush has one the 1st debate, the election would have been a slam dunk. I just can't believe Bush could lose the election on the basis of what I thought was a good debate but the MSM got the Dems talking points and played them up.

He did so good last debate though, and i heard that John Kerry feels like he will win this one easy. Too cocky maybe? Hope so
