The Unofficial Pre Pre-Debate Thread

Posted on 10/13/2004 4:10:17 PM PDT by rocklobster11

Here it is. I'm watching Hardball at the moment. Nicolle Devenish is doing a good job speaking for Bush, as always

Re: Your post 113----VERY comforting. Thanks!

You're welcome. If Reagan was there, that would make the pic perfect.

I don't know what it is tonight, but I feel very peaceful. The other debates, I was wound up like a toy mouse. But not tonight. My heart is not troubled.

Looped? Shit. I'm 5'6" and about 140lbs. Never been drunk in my LIFE. (Seriously) I'd be passed out halfway through the debate if I participated in the drinking game *LOL*

Man, this thing really smells fishy. A lot of people would like this to be the tip of a real nasty iceberg, including me. Why doesn't someone big ask Kerry to clear this up. The timing of all these things is too much coincidence for me. On the other side, it seems that if the potential charges were true, someone would have spilled the beans by now. We can't let this guy even get close to getting into the oval office without clearing this up.

Please.... More pictures of the Young George W. Bush. The one of him in the Texas Guard increase the number of women voting for him.

Sure, they SAY that but neither of them have the slightest clue what would have happened under a different events timeline. It's just another way of running down the Prez and it needs to stop.

It isn't serving Bush's interest or ours, but rather the DNC camp. And I place a huge chunk of blame in the right's lap for making it worse than it actually was, which at the time Kerry's camp labeled a DRAW. A lot of people can nitpick the Prez but fail to see how their own actions can bear responsibility as well.

Then last week when they had a chance to redeem themselves, they bashed the President when he won the debate clearly. Except for Hannity. Since the MSM has turned against us, including FOX, we need to double the effort for the Prez to compensate.

The President needs to say "It's not enough to say he has a plan. This is a debate. I'm telling you what I'll do, and he's not. I begin to wonder if he even knows what his plan is."

One for optimists, the other for negative types and worrywarts..

That plan will never work...it's a recipe for disaster.

;O)

i think it serves our purpose to be objective. If we tell ourselves Bush did great when he did not- such as in the first debate- then we kid ourselves into complacency.

I do agree with you, Lawgirl. Complacency is why Bush did so poorly in the first debate, I think. He just thought he had the election in the bag and didn't rest up or prepare enough. Look what that got us, lower poll numbers. Ultimately, the only one who can do well in the debate is Bush....but if he doesn't do the wonderful job that we all know he's capable of, then we have to just accept that and work a little harder.

Better make that 6, got your content vs style differential to factor in with each of the 3 options you mentioned.
