KYTV (Springfield, Missouri NBC affiliate) Announced tonight that the Bush campaign has pulled its advertising money in Missouri. KYTV noted that Kerry pulled its funds long ago and that "Bush has a comfortable margin" in Missouri
Dump the $$$ in Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa and New Mexico.
Also wanted to add that nearly all the dim commercials I have seen recently are saying that they are "independent."
Hmm...
Don't forget PA and perhaps Oregon.
K C Suburbs Bush signs outnumber Kerry.
how can a feller such as myself learn where that pulled money is going?
Is Bush playing for WI, PA, MI, OH, WV, NM, NH?
Will he slide a few Thune's way?
How can we know where the $$ goes?
We need some trickle down for our governor, etc. Desparately, we need the state ticket to win ALL THE WAY DOWN AS WELL AS UP!
Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida....
That's where the cash has to go. If we keep those two states, Kerry's finished. Anything else is a bonus.
Bush laid down towards the end of the 2000 election and wished he didn't. Gore caught up with him. Anyone thinking he may be making the same mistake again this time?
I bet the Bush supporters are there as well.....
They just don't want their property vandalized by a member of the Party of Tolerance and Diversity
Good question getitright. Its not on the station's website (http://www.ky3.com). We will see if they post it tonight after the 10p news.
It would be nice to have other confirmation - I guess you have to live in the area to know who KY3 is. They are the 500lb gorilla. If they screwed up a story like that, there would be h*ll to pay. The get it right 99.9% of the time (unlike the newsslander).
you are correct, sir.
Agreed. I thought about adding Pa., since there is only 1-2% difference. If nothing else, it makes Jean Francois Kerri spend $$ defending an Algore state. Oregon maybe so for the same reasons.
Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida....
That's where the cash has to go. If we keep those two states, Kerry's finished. Anything else is a bonus.

If i was doing things - that is how i would be doing it. For what its worth - and you nonmissourians to understand, Bush's lead should be very solid.. the Whole 'pub slate is strong.. there is a fight for the governorship, but she is not taking the left wing line of the national party. Sorta like what dachel is doing.
The polls have MO as a toss-up state!
Watch the campaigns not the MSM poll numbers!
I agree on OH and FL. In Ohio I am seeing ads by the Media Fund about Bush and the Saudis. What a stretch. Kerry and crew are running lots of ads here now, and they outnumber Bush ads by 3:1. I feel good about Ohio, but Bush cannot let up here as it is a must win for Kerry. I think Bush also needs to focus on IA and MN, and keep ahead in WI. Those states should be in our camp and are close. It's nearly time to write off MI as hopeless. Picking up IA will offset any potential damage from CO and their initiative. Right now, it looks very close, but October surprises are pending.
No, I don't think he's relenting. It's just tactics.
Missouri has soldified and we have to press our advantages in Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida (possibly Iowa too) and put those babies to bed.
Kerry closed his office in MO yesterday. Bush doesn't need to pour more money where it's not needed.
Don't be surprised if you see a concerted effort by Bush/Cheney in none other than NJ!
Just Ohio is fine.
Yes. Agreed.
I call it sensible use of your resources. Weren't you the same one whining four years ago that Bush "wasted" money in Michigan or California when he needed it in Florida?
Well, this time he's takin' care of business. You know, some of you people could find a turd in a pile of diamonds.
Good idea. But just one tour through Oregon (aside from the Rose Garden appearance) could have won Oregon's 7 EVs last time. I hope there is time in the Prez' schedule this year for a visit.
Bush has a terrific ad with a female OBGYN (or, if you're that fool Kerry, OGBYN), who says that lawsuits are driving her out of business.
On the other side of the coin, I'd say that the NEA ads---which say NOTHING about education, but focus entirely on jobs---are pretty damn effective. They have regular sounding guys talking about how the economy is in trouble, Ohio losing jobs, blah, blah. But like I say, the OBGYN ad pretty well counters that with a different group.
This is still a close state, pulling the money sends the wrong message. Could swing back real fast. Wrong move, hoping it's not true.
MO rocks....now we expect the same from the rest of you!!!!!! vote BUSH!!!!!!
MO home of the one and only.... RUSH LIMBAUGH
This is very bad news...
for Kerry!
That's the next great invention for you inventors out there. Something that makes any variant of "courage" disappear into the ether.
He's going to Oregon next week, I read. And possibly a second visit there.
When people get confronted with the real record of John Kerry, PA, MI, NJ, MN will all move in our direction. We might carry some of these, we might carry them all.
This electorate is more volatile than the MSM likes us to believe.
Not if Kerry's already gone. There are no ads running in Texas or Wyoming---why should there be? If it's safe, it's safe.

He has to win those two - no doubt about it.
OH RCP Average | 10/2-10/11 - Bush 46.7 Kerry 48.7 Nader 1.0
Kerry +2.0
NOT A CHANCE!
LLS
Well, if the word gets out about how upset they are with Kerry in Italy after the nasty insult he gave about the Italian army, NJ should shift over to the Bush side REAL FAST!
Have you seen the ad with the guy in the hard hat? The ad slams Halliburton. It is totally lame, but might be effective for the blue-collar folks who aren't paying a lot of attention.
No, haven't seen that one yet.
Ping!
MORE GOOD NEWS....
Dump half of the money for Missouri into Iowa and Wisconsin...the other half into Ohio. Florida will go our way...plus there should be a good amount already allocated for Florida. If Iowa and/or Wisconsin go our way....it's in the bag!
That little landslide victory banning gay marriage may have sent a signal to Kerry Missouri is off limits. Wonder how many other states with the gay marriage ban on the ballot will be a HUGE victory for Bush?
How about Cleveland and Philly?
It was not until this week, after the debate that even a few kerry stickers started showing up. Maybe I am not driving through the right parts of town.
Actually here in VERY DEMOCRAT Rock Island County Illinois (This county was Democrat even during the Thompson, Edgar, Percy era) I have seen more Bush/Cheney signs than any other republican candidate in all my time here (since Nixon). I see a LOT of local Dem candidates signs...all lacking Kerry/Edwards signs....But I DO see a lot of Bush/Cheney signs all by themselves.
I have gotten at least 6 recorded calls from them. I was ready to turn them into the state no-call list as a pest.
