If the Democratic party had a soul, and a brain, Lieberman would have been their candidate this election cycle... instead they just latched onto the first shiny thing that went in front of them, like the children they are.

Too bad the "moment of clarity" didn't last long enough to change Lieberman's mind on who should be President come 2005.

Strong non-support for Bush.

Weak support for Kerry.

He comments, you decide. My take is he's pretty honest, and has misgivings about Kerry, but remains a party loyalist.

Jews who vote for Kerry should have their heads examined.

Nom he won't switch, but look for Joe NOT to run for re-election in 2006. IMHO this is a trial balloon to see if W would name him Ambassador to Israel. Jpe might even leave the Senate early, if the GOP picks upa few seats, and thus the GOP governor of CT naming a Senator wouldn't be that big a deal..

I have a confession. When I returned from Iraq and started to deal with the VA and the Army Medical System I seriously considered for about a few months of not supporting Bush if Joe Lieberman won the candidacy for President, to me he was a justifiable replacement at the time. In the end I decided its best to accept Bush, and I am an even stronger supporter of his now. But Lieberman shows me why I considered him, even if it was afor a little while. Could he be the Major Democrat whispered about who is supposebly going to come out and support Bush?

You know, it has always seemed to me that Joe was an anomaly in the democratic party, what with his almost insistent nature to tell the TRUTH and say what he REALLY believes.

Someone else said it, but i will second it, Joe, "welcome to the party of Lincoln".

They couldn't vote for Leiberman. He supported the war, so did Gephardt. That's why they were each knocked out early.

They wanted an anti-war candidate that was electable. They loved Dean, but determined he couldn't win. The Domino effect led them to believe Kerry could win.

I thought this could be the October surprise for months now. Either endorse Bush outright or Bush appoints him to some Isreal-US position.

Would be powerful.

Another thing...we know we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind.

But Kerry last night said we are to love God with all our BODY...Huh??

Sen. Lieberman looks like he understands: Kerry has reduced the slaughter of Israeli children to the nuisance level of gambling and prostitution...

Lieberman made clear he is still staunchly supporting Kerry for president.

Yeah, um, right...

INTEGRITY! INTEGRITY! INTEGRITY!

Does anyone realize that, on her deathbed, John Kerry's mother had three words for her son? INTEGRITY, INTEGRITY, INTEGRITY!!!

Why would a mother, in her dying moments, find it necessary to stress these last three words to the son she leaves behind?

Because, deep in her heart, the poor woman knew that the lack of integrity was inherent in John Kerry's persona, that it was his main character flaw!!! In those three words John Kerry's mother meant to impress upon her son the need to amend his ways (traitor to his Vietnam comrades, gigolo and chaser of rich women, etc.)!!! Can anyone sense the anguish of that mother as she was about to depart this world?

Food for thought, my friends; food for thought!
