Ron Reagan: Why is Lynne Cheney so ashamed of her gay daughterand shame on the conservatives and shame on Scarborough for trying to spin this against the Democrats because she is a gay woman and theres nothing wrong with that. Being a gay person, being a lesbian, is not a pejorative and there was nothing wrong with Kerry saying that. Maybe Lynne Cheney is a bad parent.

Indeed. Hits a bit close to home, eh, Ron (except for the minor detail that the Cheneys aren't ashamed of their daughter).
To: Use It Or Lose It
I hate to say this, but Ron Reagan Jr. is not fit to bear his father's name.

Reagan Jr is such a small minded little putz. Being gay has nothing to do with it being a very offensive exchange.
Using the VPs daughter as an out of the blue example was unnecessary and in fact over the top. It was rude, and downright creepy.

If there's nothing wrong with it then there was no reason for Kerry to bring it up.
I invite everyone to listen to the recording, and listen to how Kerry's voice drops on the word Lesbian. As if he's afraid of the word. And why would that be.

Liz Cheney is an open lesbian, and works on her dad's campaign. If they were ashamed of it, she would not be on the campaign. Lynne and Liz Cheney just don't appreciate it being used by the opposition as a cheap political stunt.
Now, has Ron Reagan ever officially come come out of the closet? Just who is ashamed?

Please refrain from referring to him as "jr". :-)
He may carry his father's name, but to call him "jr" lends him too much associated credibility.

What a goofball. Still trading on daddy's name after all these years. He is nothing without that.

To: Use It Or Lose It
OOPS! Must have been daydreaming. Just imagined that the October surprise was a 30 sec message turned into an ad from President Reagan supporting George W Bush over that sissy boy Massachusetts liberal.
Sources said call was made during a miraculous but brief moment before he slipped away.
To: Use It Or Lose It
As much as I admired President Reagan, I find that his son is totally out of whack. If one of the candidates running against his father had brought up his sexuality like Kerry did Cheney's daughter, I would have to say the outrage would be the same. It's one thing to ask the person first if it is OK to use their name before you do. It's another to just go ahead and do it. That's what is rotten about it. Kerry's campaign believes she is fair game. She's not. She's not the one running for office. Give her the privacy that you would want for yourself.

A coworker of mine shares this relevant remark:
"Ron Reagan being gay doesn't offend me. His being an a$$hole is what offends me."
