The facts strongly suggest otherwise. She had little time to prepare to set him up and never made a demand for money before contacting the police.

You don't know the facts, if that's what you think.

She, in fact, put him in a room far away from everyone else, she went up the back way to see him, and she said absolutely nothing when she came back down to close out.

Kate Faber had planned something from the minute she learned that Bryant would be staying at this hotel.

You're kidding, right? She is the one who took the reservation over the phone, assigned the rooms (his at one end of the hotel tell, his bodyguards' at the other end of the hotel); she's the one who stayed after she was suppose to be off so she could meet the great Kobe Bryant.

and never made a demand for money before contacting the police.

Well, she WAS busy during the time between when she left his room and when she called the police; she was with some other guy.

However, she DID contact a lawyer in New York within weeks of the incident, asking questions about filing a civil suit -- you know, a civil suit for $$$$$.

Oh, please...that wasn't "asking permission."

Haven't read the evidence, have you?

No Jackson didn't say that and I realized after posting that my phrasing left something to be desired, since it would be forgiveable to come away with that impression. The dirtbag stuff is my own opinion.

Jackson does make strong negative comments about Bryant in his new book, however. It seems all those in a position to know something about Bryant the man don't like him.

There is a comment on the second page that reminds me of a Snoop Dog video and probably what a number of gang bangers and pro athletes do as a tribute to the porn they watch.

Kobe sucks.

Such a surprise, coming from you......LOL.

We all do that after we hit the post button.

Nobody is saying Kobe is a saint. He's just not a rapist, IMO.

According to HIM, she lifted her shirt and bent over the chair.

And you believe him? He admitted that he likes to ejaculate on a woman's face. All of his teammates seem to agree that his ego is out of control. He's obviously a spoiled brat who's used to everyone around him bending over to please him. Does he sound like the kind of guy who would take "no" for an answer of he thought he could get away with rape?

And you believe him?

As I said up the thread, so far the count is one Kobe lie (about not having sex with her) and about a hundred for her.

Why do YOU believe her?

Then you pay for the prisons, out of your own pocket.

I already do!
PLUS while living in Oregon, we get to witness the release of 1000s of violent and not-so-violent criminals from the OR prison system...

I am not sure if I understand your point about the cost? What other "crime" would you like to see decriminalized due to cost?

My point was that Adultery and Perjury seem to be very similar in principle...

Actually, looking back on THAT last post of mine, it looks kind of snotty.......I hope you know I was joking.

We've both proved your point now. :-)

She, in fact, put him in a room far away from everyone else...

If that was her idea and not the idea of Kobe and his people, his prosection would never have gotten as far as it did.

she went up the back way to see him, and she said absolutely nothing when she came back down to close out...

She said she told Bob (her co-worker) about being raped shortly after she left Kobe's room, and he apparently has confirmed that.

Kate Faber had planned something from the minute she learned that Bryant would be staying at this hotel.

She doesn't sound quick-witted enough to plan a fake rape charge. She admitted to the cops that she planned to meet him and was flirtacious with him and willingly kissing him even though there were no witnesses other than Kobe around to confirm that. Had she been trying to set him up there would have been no reason for her to admit to anything sexually consensual -- particularly kissing.

I think it's fair to say that she was a tease, but even a tease is not fair game for rape.

I have heard enough of this. Kobe is a scum and prays on the weak.

So should I conclude that if you want to meet some famous man, then you must also want him to bend you over a chair and have his way with you?

How long would you wait to contact an attorney after having been raped by a multimillionaire who could afford to employ dozens of people to assassinate your character?

Kobe can't even get along with his teammates and coaches and is obviously a spoiled superstar who is not at all used to anyone saying "no" to him. I don't believe everything she has said (in fact, she admitted lying to the police), but even lying sluts can be raped, and the rape part of her story sounds very believable.

Have you really not been paying attention? They BOTH admit it started out as consensual, even the intercourse.

She wasn't calling for protection; she was calling for that big $$$$.

And even basketball players that other may or may not be jealous of aren't automatically guilty of rape just because some little girl says so.

Which part of her story sounds believe to you? The part where he made her go into the bathroom to wash her face? The part where she said she hadn't had sex with anybody except Kobe Bryant?

Please read her statement again. She clearly stated that when he started groping her she pulled away and tried to leave, but he got in her way and then put his hands around her neck and then proceded to bend her over a chair and rape her.

She wasn't calling for protection; she was calling for that big $$$$.

I didn't know you had a transcript of her confidential conversation with her attorney, but even if she was thinking "I want to make him pay for this" from the moment he started raping her, that's perfectly understandable. Am I to conclude that you wouldn't even think about seeking recovery of your damages after a multimillionaire raped you?

No one is "automatically guilty" of anything. I just find her story much more believable under the circumstances than his.
