"onions for the change.... "

I won't go that far in deference to variety! ;)

Big, fat olives . . .usually no vermouth, but sometimes a sprinkle of olive juice (if that is what you call the stuff the olives live in before they are plopped into the martini glass!)

Hubby got me the Grey Goose for Christmas; [he always looks for the gift sets. It came in a big wicker picnic basket that I use as a project box for my daughter's annual 4-H sewing project.] [Very practical!]

So there is the taste test, and there is the gift-set test!

GG passes without a gift set, but would be more frequently bought with; and Stoli, no gift set needed . . .

"It comes in an art glass bottle"

Now you have done it! Blue cannot be resisted. Not only that, Sweden does have some good products, as my 300,000 mile Saab that I have driven for 18 1/2 years attests.

I'll ask for it this Christmas! [Maybe they will have a nice gift set with blue martini glasses?]

I hope he's right, because the only way this is ever going to stop is if there is an absolute landslide this year. It's the only way to get through to the powers that be in the democrat party that these tactics will ruin this country.

ooooo... time for a vodka martini.. with an onion...

Sounds good actually, though I have a scotch and a beer.

Cheating is one thing. Advertising that you intend to cheat is a but much. We'll see how this develops.

Thanks. More incentive to go to Ohio. I'm there for three days through the election.

I always have vermouth... and I do occasionally do the olive juice thing, but not much (a 'dirty' martini).. but I do like to vary the olives.. I like ones stuffed with peppers or garlic, even ones stuffed with onions.

Your hubby is very pragmatic.. (a good trait).. My wife is quite the bartender (that's why I have all the garnishes).. I'm a clutz.. that's why I drink everything neat, but I did learn how do a good martini.

I put a bottle in the 2nd freezer for November 2nd. It is getting nice and frosty since it isn't frost free. I will be toasting the salvation of the Union when GW is reelected.

The democrats get a pass from the MSM and they are getting more and more blatent. I've not figured out if it's out of desperation or arrogance. Probably some of both....

But.. scotch and beer.. are you drinking them together?

"but not much (a 'dirty' martini).."

my husband would agree with that description!

" but I do like to vary the olives.. "

he bought some stuffed with blue cheese, saving for a special occassion which we never seem to get around to having . . .

"I drink everything neat, but I did learn how do a good martini."

The best martini maker in our family was a priest!

My dad told me, when I went to college, the sugar will mess you up; IOW, bourbon, but not bourbon and Coke; or scotch and water, or . . . vodka martini . . . at least you know what you are consuming!

GREAT idea!

I'll toast to that . . .

Because, in the end, that's what the national Democrats are doing: They're trying, however inadvertently, to destroy the Republic...

It's not inadvertent. It's deliberate.

I do not know all the solution.

Putting a few "party leaders" in a federal pen for organizing voter fraud under RICO would be a start.

"laid-back libertarian-ish guys who want to see terrorists blown into tiny chunks and to be left alone on social issues."

No "libertarian-ish" guys like this want anything to do with Kerry. For these guys, the major gripe with Bush is that "he isn't conservative enough" or "he doesn't follow the Constitution enough", what do you think these people are saying about John Kerry? It isn't fit to post here in FR, take my word for it.

Anyone who is "libertarian-ish" is voting for Michael Badnarik if they live in a liberal state, or Bush if they live in a swing state.

Kudos, t_skoz…that's exactly how this black, gay, "libertarian-ish" man feels … and how he plans to vote.

In previous elections, before Florida was a swing state, I actually voted twice for the Libertarian candidate. 2000 was the first time I had EVER voted for a Republican candidate for president, and I guess I was one of the 358 or so who put him over the top, WHEW!

This year, I'll vote for Bush again, because I got a feeling its gonna be reeeal close down here again..
