No flames here. I have no doubt that some gays are born that way, or at the very least, become gay through factors in early childhood that are entirely outside their control.
On the other hand, as Rush pointed out yesterday, there does seem to be a phenomenon of women, later in life, choosing to be gay after a lifetime of heterosexuality in a way that suggests they are not discovering what was there all the time, but simply seeking some kind of refuge or comfort.
Mmmm, beer!
It would seem that Katie's contempt for John Fu Kerry rivals her distate for the President himself. She is a good example of someone who would never tell a pollster she would vote for Bush, but in the privacy of the voting booth may make the right choice.
And that's why this is going to be a landslide of epic proportions.
Lenny and Squiggy were the greasy, icky guys who lived in the same building as Laverne and Shirley.
Penny Marshall (ack, spit) played Shirley.
RE: Teraaysa's refusal to make public her tax returns?
***The reason: she wants to protect her childrens' privacy. The kids have made campaign appearances.
So ... money privacy is more important than sexual behavior privacy.***
EXCELLENT statement, Mike.
LOL!

Okay, I have to log off--have a great day and thanks for the report! Katie has changed into a black jacket so unfortunately I missed the "K" sweater. :)
To all those tuning into Today to get a glimpse of Katie's "K" blouse, for some reason she is now broadcasting from out on Rockefeller Plaza and has put on a jacket that hides it. Hopefully she'll move back inside later in the show.
Senator Kerry recognized that Schieffer had failed to produce a homophobe's answer, so he tried to provoke the President over the fact that his VP, gasp, had a homosexual daughter.
Since there isn't a single bigot cell in President Bush's system, he ignored the clumsy attempt.
The fact that the Kerry symps in the general media keep bringing it up is not to criticize Kerry, but to hang the homo-lover tag on the President and thus continue to chip away at the base.
Don't give Couric any kudos for this stunt.
I think we have a FR Today Show thread first: the suggestion that Katie might vote for W.
If that ever happens, Kerry's defeat will make Napoleon's at Waterloo look like a minor tactical retreat.
Thanks for the 411!
Chirac reacts to Kerry's statement about his daughter
Yesterday, President Kerry told the world, via the White House Press Corps, what he thinks Chirac's daughter would say about her mental problems.Chirac wife reveals marriage problems [BBC]
LOL
Don't give Couric any kudos for this stunt.
Sorry, but I disagree. There was no mistaking that there was some personal conviction and heat behind Katie's suggestion to Dee Dee that Kerry's statement was not magnanimous but a calculated political move. I can't believe that the Kerry people are happy to have this story dominating the news and to have their own spokesman criticizing the candidate.
I am so angry that it's hard for me to type. I absolutely HATE the Democratic Party for what it's become....power hungry thirsty maggots.
I think you are right about that. My husband had a carpenter whose wife ran off with a "plans coordinator" woman; capenter's wife had a rough life raising kids, etc. and the woman offered her an easier life, so I am sure not all are the same.
sKerry figures that by his mentioning Cheney's daughter (instead of say, Gephardt's daughter)that some evangelical christians will not be able...in good conscience, pull the GOP lever.
"... it's obvious to everyone but the retarded that his hesitation before he pronounced the word "lesbian" that this was a purely political strategy."
He d@mn near choked on the word "lesbian" didn't he! LMAO!
IMO, O'Reilly has been going out of his way the past 60 days to appear "Independent" as opposed to being "Pro-Bush" because he was aware this harassment suit was in the works.
He calculated that by remaining neutral that the MSM would lessen its zeal in piling on him...like they did to Gringrich and Lott, et al.
I made a similar observation yesterday. The way he hesitated, then quickly pronounced the word, seemed a dead giveaway that he knew he was skating on thin ice, but was driven to continue by blind political ambition.
PS: by truly bizarre coincidence, as I was writing about Kerry "skating on thin ice," a live segment came on Today showing Olympic champ Sara Hughes literally . . . skating on thin ice at the Rockefeller Center rink!
