Edwards Is Baggage for Kerry: Campaigning with Kerry Because He has only Light-Weight Draw Power
15 Oct 04 | Xzins

Posted on 10/15/2004 8:09:16 AM PDT by xzins

Please add any facts that demonstrate that Edwards has become baggage for Kerry.

1. He campaigned WITH Kerry last night even though the campaign needs the two to split up for greater coverage in the last few days before the election.

2. His wife's extremely STUPID comments about the Cheney's yesterday.

3. In the VP Debate, Edwards was decimated. No one is now interested in him....not even Kerry.

4. His whiney voice and "johnny one-note message" is simply not a draw.

5. He lack of experience and longevity gives him zero base around the country...not even in his own state.

6. He has no IOU's to collect from anyone, and he did such a bad job at the debate that no other candidate wants him anywhere near them.

For DReadwards, Kerry was a God-send. He knew that NC was gonna cancel his ticket shortly. I'm glad that Hanoi John got saddled with an anchor.

2. His wife's extremely STUPID comments about the Cheney's yesterday.

This was not just Edwards wife's extremely STUPID comments about the Cheney's yesterday. This was the DNC's scripted response for Mrs. Edwards if the Cheney's responded to Kerry's scripted use of Cheney's daughter.

I agree -- that was an absolutely stupid (if not immoral) comment.

I saw a little bit of Edwards on Hardball last night; he actually looked beaten.

Mrs. Edwards has said quite a few things that are beyond the pale, IMO. She's always scurrying about, trying to clean up after the "boys," but she just makes it worse.

She actually reminds me of Hillary Clinton.

1) Who can forget his evil shyster claims that quadrapelgics like Christopher Reeve will walk again if the moron public will only vote for Kerry/Edwards?

2) As a malpractice lawyer he would "channel" unborn babies in his cerebral palsy cases, and would blame (the blameless) obstetricians for not doing C-sections.

3) The rate of C-sections rose for 6% in North Carolina to 20% due to Edwards personally ravinging the Ob/Gyn doctors via his complete junk science litigation. And the rat of cerebral palsy? It went from 1% of births to.... 1%!

4) I could go on and on, but the people of North Carolina know their own Senator better that I do. They will vote for Bush/Cheney by a landslide.

Yeah, remember she's the one who scurried up to Cheney after the debate to remind him of the prayer breakfast.

Apparently trial boy had forgotten it himself...he was probably channeling Christopher Reeves and not concentrating.

Kerry needed Tommy Hagen on the ticket (Don Corleone's adopted son and family lawyer).

You don't get it. The whole purpose of John and Elizabeth Edwards being there is to make John F Kerry and the Widow Heinz look good by comparison.

Could Mrs. Edwards possibly be pregnant again? That would account for her "bitchiness". (Lord, I hope not-she is not taking care of the kids that she has...flitting around the country to real battlegrounds like La and Maine, leaving her kids with "good people", justifying it by saying she is doing it (campaigning) for all children.

And another thing, if, God forbid, Kerry-Edwards are elected, does the SS have enough agents to guard all 5 Kerry homes and adult children and all 3 Edwards homes?

Don't think so. The objective was to damage Bush and Cheney not to bolster Kerry and Edwards.

I've thought since the vp debate that the best way to convince swing voters to vote bush is to raise the prospect of a 'President Edwards.' This is my strategy with my leftie friends until election day. Even hardcore dems. are frightened by the idea.

Dems are deserting Edwards in droves. He is an embarrassment to them.

They wonder what in the world qualifies him to be where he's at.

He was absolutely shellacked by Cheney!

Edwards was a stupid choice from day one by a really weak candidate.

You don't pick a politician to be your running mate with less than 6 years total politcal experience and one that won't be re-elected in his own state.
