Suspect Vote Fraud in Ohio? - Challenge Them at the Precinct!
Cleveland Plain Dealer ^ | 10/15/04 | add925

Voters may see 'challengers' at polls

On Election Day, Cuyahoga County voters may see "challengers" recruited by the political parties to observe the voting and potentially question the eligibility of some voters. Under state law, a voter may "challenge" another voter at the polls, if he suspects the voter is not a citizen, not at least 18 years old, or not a resident of that precinct. Challengers report their complaint to the chief poll worker or precinct judge. The precinct judge will hear the complaint, then ask the voter in question to swear that he or she is eligible and fill out a special form. Judges are trained to allow voters to cast a ballot if they fill out the form. If the challenge is upheld, the voter is not given a ballot; however, the voter can appeal to the county elections board that day. In case of challenges, voters are encouraged to bring identification or other proof of age and address to the polls. Copyright 2004 cleveland.com. All Rights Reserved.

Was it Ohio where a judge allowed voters to vote at any voting station as long as it is in their county? Wherever it was, imagine the busloads of Dems dropping these folks off at a single station instead of having to drop each one off at each precinct. No one would likely identify any of them properly.

There also needs to be someone checking the "challengers". Democratic "challengers" could easily challenge Democratic voters just to say that their voters are being harassed. (seems to fit in with the DNC memo suggestion that if you don't see harassment then start it)

Great suggestion. Exactly the right tactic. Before election day, go ahead and notify the Cleveland Plain Dealer that W. is a lock to win the election. Remember dispirited dems are less likely to monkey with fraud. Remember what H. Hewitt says: if it's not close, they can't cheat.

Ya know....I don't really understand why we don't ask for photo ID's when you go to the polls to vote...I know...I know it's just to PC but what the hell is the problem in this country? Prove who you are to vote...pretty simple if ya ask me.

You won't hear from the State. You need to call your County Clerk or Registrar of Voters. Do it now, so you can be assured of being able to vote!

There's some precincts in Cuyahoga county where a challenger might not make it out of the precinct alive. Coincidentally, those would be the most likely precincts to harbor fraud.

Cover yourself, bring a legally armed friend. Call the cops. Stay safe.

I believe that in Ohio, your voting record is held by the county. Call the county board of elections to see if your registration is current.

Call your county board of elections. They can tell you if you're registered and will send you out a card. At least they did it for me in Ohio.

Same here in Texas. We have millions of poll watchers across the nation!

Conservative districts must hold their polling results until all the major fraud production precincts are in. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE ABILITY TO CALCULATE THE MAGIC NUMBER.

The problem is the Dems. Voter ID was to be part of the HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT, but the dems raised holy hell. Their argument is requiring photo ID is tantamount to a Jim Crow-like Poll Tax since so many minorities don't possess ID's and don't have the wherewithall to obtain one. BS!!! We all know you can't function in todays society without one.

This is actually a fuzzy thing. As conservatives, we should object to Big Brother government having ID card records of us.

But the price of that attitude is risk of fraud. After the election, we here on FR will have to hammer this issue out and impose it on the GOP. :)

Why, minorities don't have picture ID's. They don't drive, don't cash checks, don't go to the welfare office, doctors or anything else. Me, now, I had to show my ID four times this very day, but won't have to at the polls.

In MA your Voter Registration card goes to the Town (or County) Clerk or Registrar of Voters. That way, they assign you a voting precinct so you know where to go to cast your vote.

"As conservatives, we should object to Big Brother government having ID card records of us."

I agree, and stand 100% against a National I.D. card, but we're talking about State-issued driver's license here.

"But the price of that attitude is risk of fraud."

It's more than a risk, it's reality...the DemonRATS are soooo desperate to get their power back, they are unabashedly cheating accross this nation.

"After the election, we here on FR will have to hammer this issue out and impose it on the GOP. :)"

We can make it happen, but it'll haveta happen on a State-by-State basis...no way we want the Feds making these laws...or do we?! Just think how the blue states will refuse to demand picture I.D.'s becuz they know it will be one less way they can cheat.

FReegards...MUD

Cellphone cameras? GREAT idea!

In Texas, recording devices are prohibited in the polling place. Even the media is not supposed to be allowed in.

Ys, but with that method they would only be eligible to vote with a provisional ballot. My understanding of a provisional ballat is that it will only be counted if it can later be verified. In lieu of the judgement given by the BJ Clinton appointeee...(this guy is a freaking crook??? WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK IT???) There still has to be a way of suppressing provisional ballots if multiples are registered in different counties.

I'm not sure I understand this. I tried to do some research on my own to find out more information but what I found didn't help much.

Can anyone challenge another voter that is standing in line? Where I vote we have a hot school issue, coupled with the presidential vote, I imagine I'll be standing in line for at least 2 hours. I'd like to know what I should look for or what I can do if I see something suspicious.

Click the link at #23...from the article linked, it seems that ordinary voters probably can't challenge other voters (at least, in Ohio) but the parties can station "registered challengers" at any polling place...I suppose though that if there were no "official challengers" present, and you were to challenge someone yourself to the poll workers, they would be likely to do something about it!

Just have to add...this whole "election process" this time around is starting to creep me out!!

How Democrats Steal Elections - Top 10 Methods of Liberal Vote Fraud

1. Over-Voting. In Democrat strongholds like St. Louis, Philadelphia and Detroit, some precincts had 100% of their registered voters voting, with 99% of the ballots going to Gore. Clearly, multiple voting resulted in extra tallies for Gore in the 2000 election. (New York Post, 12/09/00).

2. Dead Voters. This classic Democratic method of vote fraud goes all the way back to 1960 in Chicago and Dallas. The 2000 election was no exception. In Miami-Dade County, for example, some of the 144 ineligible votes (those which officials actually admitted to) were cast by dead people, including a Haitian-American who's been deceased since 1977 (Miami-Herald, 12/24/00).

3. Mystery Voters. These "voters" cast votes anyway but are not even registered to vote. In heavily Democratic Broward County, for example, more than 400 ballots were cast by non-registered voters. (Miami-Herald 1/09/01)

4. Military ballots. Many of these votes were disqualified for the most mundane and trivial reasons. At least 1,527 valid military ballots were discarded in Florida by Democratic vote counters (Drudge Report, 11/19/00).

5. Criminals. Felons are a natural Democratic voter and they're protected on voter rolls across the country. In Florida at least 445 ex-convicts - including rapists and murderers -- voted illegally on November 7th. Nearly all of them were registered Democrats. (Miami-Herald 12/01/00)

6. Illegal aliens. These voters have long been a core liberal constituency, especially in California. In Orange County in 1996, Rep. Bob Dornan had his congressional seat stolen from him when thousands of illegal aliens voted for Loretta Sanchez (Christian Science Monitor, 9/2/97).

7. Vote-buying. Purchasing votes has long been a traditional scheme by Democrats, and not just with money. In the 2000 election in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Democratic workers initiate a "smokes-for-votes" campaign in which they paid dozens of homeless men with cigarettes if they cast ballots for Al Gore (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, 11/14/00).

8. Phantom Voters. These voters don't really exist, but their ballots do. In the 1996 Lousiana Senate race, GOP candidate Woody Jenkins had the election stolen from him when he discovered that 7,454 actual votes were cast but had no paper trail to authenticate them (Behind the Headlines, F.R. Duplantier, 4/27/97).

9. Dimpled chads. Those infamous punch-cards were a ballot bonanza for Al Gore. Democratic poll workers in Palm Beach, Dade and Broward counties tampered and manipulated thousands of ineligible ballots and counted them for Gore, even though no clear vote could be discerned. (NewsMax.com 11/27, 12/22, 11/18, 11/19/00).

10. Absentee ballots. Normally it's assumed that Republicans benefit from absentee ballots. But in the case of Miami's 1997 mayoral election, hundreds of absentee ballots were made for sale or sent out to non-Miami residents. Fraud was so extensive in the race that the final results were overturned in court (FL Dept. of Law Enforcement Report, 1/5/98)."

WE MUST FIGHT VOTE FRAUD!
