My grandfather landed in Normandy with the 4th on d-day. Ask your friend if he new a Harry Garrison. I think he was a 1st Lieutenant.
Also, as I was looking at the pics of our beautiful men and women over there, I thought - God willing, one of those fine soldiers will become president of our great nation someday.

Is the "Thumbs Up" gesture universal or did the American Soldiers teach them that? If you go to the sight you will see hundreds of thumbs up in the air. Fantastic site, made be cry. I am so proud of these fine Americans.
Just, WOW! I got all choked up when I saw the one of the old Iraqi woman holding the hand-written signs that said "Thank you USA - Iraqis are happy now." She had a tissue in her hand, also, and you could see that she had been crying. Very touching.
Just imagine what a huge percentage of Americans would change their view on how the war is going, and whether or not we did the right thing by going there, if they could see these pictures and read the things we have here on FR.
My God! Our troops are kind, gentle and loving human beings! Who would have ever thought it from reports from our very own MSM?
Hey! Some Iraqi's are human too. Some are young children, and what do you know......they respond to the love and kindness shown by our troops, just like all other kids in every other war our troops have engaged in.
The MSM isn't really biased now, it's just that they don't have any film left for positive pictures after shooting quadruple shots of both actual and invented negative events.
