Oh, okay. Very very interesting. Thank you for posting it. Nobody else's site seems to be picking up on this yet. By the way, why do you call yourself Truth666?

And Southern Baptists have 15 million

I think you've got it!

My comment was only partly to illustrate the ludicrous description of 6 million ANYTHING as small.

It was also to illustrate that a once-strong, foundational membership in the US has declined 75% in 50 years.

The death knell, in my mind, was when they removed the word "Protestant" from the legal name of the Church, preceding "Episcopal."

Sort of ironic since there's hardly anyone on the board more full of crap....

Ignore all pronouncements relating to anything regarding the natural sciences from Lies666, Quix, or any of the other FR Apocalyptikooks.

The death knell for most of the mainline denominations has been when they have strayed from the authority of Scripture. They now rely upon personal opinion or the dictates of man more than the Bible, which is considered good literature but not necessarily directive. By doing so, they transgressed against the very reason that they became "protestant."

Guess you can call me an apokalyptikook as well. Scripture is being fulfilled as we live and breath. I don't look for an antichrist around every corner, but I believe one exists. And, I believe that times are tenuous at best.

There's a lot people don't hear about, but they should. For instance this, also from today :
13-year-old girl sentenced to death in Iran
Gila Izadi (13) is sentenced to death after her brother (15) knocked her up. She had her baby two weeks ago. Her brother will get 150 lashes and she will be stoned to death.
Only one source in Norway reported this worldwide (Norway) http://www.nrk.no/nyheter/utenriks/4179497.html

According to uncleshag

Dr. Magnus - "Albertus Magnus lived in the thirteenth century and might be considered another magus. In the Dominican Order he rose to the position of Bishop of Ratisbourg. Later he was canonized as Saint Albert the Great. He was both student and teacher of alchemy and chemistry, and an alleged magician. He firmly believed in the benefits of botany claiming various plants, rocks, and amethysts improved clairvoyance.

Like Aristotle, he thought nature and men's lives were controlled by the stars and plants. Notably he taught Saint Thomas Acquinas and made several significant contributions to chemistry.

I'm not sure how uncleshag is connected to Right Whale. I didn't have my copy of Chambers Biographical Dictionary of 25,000 Famous People on hand to look up this Dr.Mangus fellow. I think Right Whale was just being a little cryptic and clever.

I am definitely not an alchemist and I certainly don't think that mens lives are controlled by the stars and the planets.

I do however believe that there is a much higher force than humankind that holds sway over the universe. Right Whale and uncleshag might do well to read Maimonides "Guide for the Perplexed" to update their knowledge base. People who try to pigeonhole me do so at their peril.

All communication is both a message and a command.

Not so. One or the other.
