This hit piece from the NY Slime was the basis for all talking points of the demo scum attack on the talk shows and for the attacks from the street.

It's amazing how the NY Slime understands the details of a "secret plan" about Bush that doesn't exist but yet fails to publish any details about all the public plans that Kerry has announced (for which there are many).

This is the smear of the week and is oriented toward scaring elderly into choosing between buying catfood to eat, their prescription medicines or heating oil so they won't freeze to death.

The reporter in question, Ron Suskind, did not attend the event he got the quote from. Further, it was not televised, it was a private event and there were no transcripts available. Yet he reports the quote as fact.
