Me

It was Carter Vs. Ford, so where were you during the course of that election and when Carter claimed his victory(unfortunately). It was a pretty close race.

If you were a husband, you were carefully watching your wife, lest the President-Elect set his eyes on her. That's just my guess. I'm only 20.

I was in 6th grade and I remember we didn't know until the next day when Ohio finally was projected to go to Carter. Even as a young boy I was disappointed and knew Carter would screw up the country.

I had other things on my mind (like riding my lime green banana bike) but I do remember the 1980 election when I was in the 5th grade.

Ah, well, he only committed adultery in his heart.

As for me, I was probably potty-training and tormenting my baby sister.

Cast my first vote for President in 1976. Cast it for Ford. I was out of college just a few years and wasn't very political at that point. I just thought the Republicans represented mature grown-ups and the democrats just seemed to idealistic. Funny how those first impressions based on relative ignorance turned out to be right.
