I will be putting together a documentary about different left-wing groups like NOW, ACLU and National Lawyers Guild. Not sure when this will happen. Probably not before next summer. But keep an eye out for it.

Most Americans still have strong fundamental democratic values, believing in individual freedoms, smaller government, personal empowerment, etc. There should be formal programs in our schools (beginning Jr. High School) defining origin of USA in terms of how our country began - yes including religious freedom (can choose whether to and how). I had elective course in undergrad school - primary assignments were defining US positions on current key issues. Mot important results were a nationalism focused on individual empowerment, lack of government imposed sanctions, e.g., prayer (OK and optional), right and need to optimize individual rights to innovate and reap benefits, tort restraints, and middle-america values were still at top of list. While we should never keep a Michael Moore from expressing his individual views, there has to be same opportunity for presenting opposing points of view. Democracy will never be perfected; it will always continue to evolve with objective of individual liberties and open freedom of expression. US is moving in right direction, even though oftimes it seems the liberal bias is gaining ground. Academia seems to have moved too far left of center when their role is to offer reality, not to try and define it for our open-minded students (which needs continuing cultivation forever).
