Muslim Re-Education - coming soon to an elementary school near you
FrontPageMagazine.com ^ | 10/20/04 | Alexis Amory

Coming soon to an elementary school near you: mandatory indoctrination in Islamic customs and practices. According to The Kansas City Star, third-, fourth- and fifth-graders in Herndon, Virginia, are to be given lessons in the three Rs: Reading, ‘Riting, and Ramadan. During this instruction, public school children will play act being Muslims, and, perhaps unwittingly, convert to Islam.

Pupils from a nearby Muslim school will visit classes in the town’s public schools to educate their counterparts in Islam. They will be accompanied by something called “a multicultural trainer” named Afeefa Syeed.

In Herndon, during this month of Ramadan (which began Friday), there will be explanations of the fasting month and “role-playing” that requires students to recite Muslim sacred words and imitate their prayer practices. However, whether the speaker understands what he is saying or not, one is considered to have converted to Islam if he confesses a belief in Allah – and this conversion is considered irrevocable. The penalty for apostasy (and much else, from adultery, to homosexuality, to dating anyone in the Islamic world aside from the intended partner of arranged marriages, often made between first cousins) is death.

Multicultural trainer Syeed explains, “For teachers and administrators, as well as fellow students, explaining Ramadan helps the school accommodate the religious requirements of the holiday.” Why American children should be strong-armed into imposing “the religious requirements of the holiday” for proselytizing Muslims isn’t addressed. Neither do authorities explain why Islamic prayers have suddenly become part of the curriculum for children attending American public (e.g., non-sectarian) schools, while discussions of Christianity are ruled off limits.

The Star also reports, “The Council on Islamic Education, a nonprofit organization based in California, plans to release an updated version of its booklet ‘Muslim Holidays,’ which was first published in 1997, for the more than 4,000 teachers nationwide who have used it.”

With Ramadan taking place this month, many schools are arranging for Muslim students to sit in the library during lunchtime so they won’t be forced to be around food. (“See how special and holy Ahmad is? He is purifying himself for religion through fasting. Isn’t that lovely, boys and girls?”)

The Kansas City Star quotes the multicultural specialist Syeed, who also uses a globe in her presentation to show students that Muslims live all over the world, as saying her lesson plan ‘The Seven S's of Ramadan’ highlights aspects of Islam that children of other faith backgrounds can relate to, like patience, peace and gratitude. “It's really just to define who we are on our own terms” Syeed says, “and make the connection with a much larger, universal aspect.”

The Herndon school district is not an isolated pocket of Islamic indoctrination. The Assist News Service reports that 7th graders in Byron, California, were given special assignments in Islam that included faith-related role-playing. (Try to make it a two-way street by having Muslim kids role-playing Christian Crusaders, and the ACLU would have you drawn and quartered.)

Billed as a “Social Studies” class, it required seventh graders to memorize verses of the Koran and to pray, “In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful,” and to chant, “Praise to Allah, Lord of Creation.”

According to Rev. Miles of the Religious News Service, students will be required to memorize 25 Islamic terms and six Islamic phrases. They will also learn 20 Islamic proverbs, the Five Pillars of Islam and to be familiar with 10 key Islamic prophets and disciples. Students were presented with true/false questions that required them to affirm tenets of the Islamic faith as objective fact. The handouts used in the course, according to ANS, are reported to include a history of Islam and the life of its founder, Mohammed (doubtlessly bowdlerized for shockable young minds). But last year, although a federal judge ruled that the Byron Union School District could continue its three-week curriculum that required 7th graders recite Muslim prayers, the school abandoned the project because it created an outcry.

As Front Page Magazine Managing Editor Ben Johnson documents in his just published book 57 Radical Causes: Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Charitable Giving, Teresa Heinz Kerry has funded a similar curriculum – complete with confessions of belief in Islam – for use in the Pittsburgh public schools.

Whoever, or whatever organization, is behind these confident insertions of Islamic customs and religious rules into American civil life, the object is clear: to present Islam as another thread in the tapestry that is America, and this colonization of American history has been going on quietly for some time.

One such curriculum claims the Muslims discovered America before Columbus and intermarried with Algonquin Indians, even rising to the level of chiefs.

Others give Muslims a role in Columbus’ discovery of the New World. Stephen Schwartz, writing in Tech Central Station in a piece entitled Columbus Day Dreams, says there is now a mission underway to assert that Columbus hired a Muslim navigator to guide his ships. This is described by Schwartz as “a fantasy version of the Spanish-financed maritime explorations, as part of a campaign to establish an American Islamic heritage dating from the beginnings of our history.”

The source of this rumor was: The U.S. State Department. On August 23, 2004, Phyllis McIntosh wrote an article entitled “Islamic Influence Runs Deep in American Culture” in the State Department’s publication Washington File. In this government publication, she stated, "It is likely that Christopher Columbus, who discovered America in 1492, charted his way across the Atlantic Ocean with the help of an Arab navigator."

Responds Schwartz, “How such a thing could be ‘likely’ when the history of Columbus' voyages has been established by documentary methods for five centuries, with no mention anywhere of Arab or Muslim participation, is baffling, to say the least.”

Phyllis McIntosh races on breathlessly to claim that the squash blossom jewellery of Southwestern American Indians is so close to Arabic calligraphy that there must be a connection. She also claims with a straight face that the boots worn by the archetypical American hero, the cowboy, were designed by Muslims in southern Spain. She also claims that Muslims who stayed on in Spain after the Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula had immigrated to the New World in the 1500s, although Schwartz says that this was impossible because the Spanish descendants of converted Jews and Muslims were strictly forbidden to emigrate to the New World.

There are legitimate instances of Muslim influence on American history. It seems well documented that some of the early black slaves kidnapped in Africa and shipped to America

may have included some Islamic adherents taken from largely Muslim countries – who were sold into slavery by their Arab slave trader co-religionists. (No doubt, this accounts for the popularity of that touching Negro spiritual, Swing Low, Sweet Shari’a.) However, it is not a fact the PC educational crowd has chosen to highlight.

It would be laughable if these prevaricators did not have an army of co-dhimmis who are only too happy to endorse fake American history to advance the Islamic cause in North America and another army of leftist teachers and principals who earnestly believe in indoctrinating children in multiculturalist propaganda. It should be noted that in this multicultural paradise, the dominant religion and culture is increasingly an Islamic one.

The camel is making progress in its effort to get inside the tent and take over. It got its nose under the edge when, a few months ago, the close-knit Polish Catholic town of Hamtramck, in Michigan, was forced by their dhimmi town council to endure Muslim calls to prayer in Arabic broadcast over loudspeakers six times a day. The Muslims said their calls to worship their god in an alien language were roughly equivalent to Christian church bells. A few months later, a hospital in

Maine kowtowed to demands of Somali refugees that hospital gowns be modified to bring them in line with standards of modesty decreed by Islam. New johnnies were designed on the double, not only with an extra flap but also an interior sarong.

The dhimmis rewriting American history, tradition, and public school curricula are known to us. What is more interesting is, who is powering this agenda with financing? Certainly, where there are megabucks being handed around with lavish abandon, the Saudi Royal Family can’t be far away. The Council on Islamic Education, which contributes to “Washington File,” includes members of the Wahhabi lobby.

Certainly, there is nothing wrong with a study of comparative religions, but many parents believe it is inappropriate for children in third – or even seventh – grade to have the certainties of their religion degraded into just one “belief system” among many; this denigrates their parents’ home religious instruction. Comparative religion is a subject for those who have developed a sophisticated ability to think outside themselves, usually around 17 or 18. And it is of interest mainly to those of a philosophical turn of mind. It is not for everyone and it should not be imposed. And certainly, children of any age should not be forced to choose a Muslim name over the Christian (or Jewish!) name their parents gave them. This is an invasion of the child’s identity. For the public schools to unwittingly convert children to any religion is rightly forbidden by the U.S. Constitution.

And assaulting children with false history to enhance the self-esteem of a minority population is a betrayal of children, of learning, and of the historic mission of Western education.

Pupils from a nearby Muslim school will visit classes in the town’s public schools to educate their counterparts in Islam.

By doing what, going on a beheading spree while shouting "Allahu-AkBarbarian!"?

Why not just teach children the following terminology?

Mosque = Terrorist Barracks

Red Crescent Ambulance = Munitions Supply Truck

Radical Muslim = REAL Muslim who follows the Koran

Moderate Muslim = A Trojan horse who quietly smiles and nods his head at the terrorists

Koran = a call to terror, murder, oppression, slavery, misogyny and backward culture

Infidel = all non Muslims and Muslims who are not on jihad (all doomed to die)

Holy Lands = all lands unfortunate enough to be or ever have been under the heavy yoke of Muslim terror, murder, oppression, slavery, misogyny

Islamic Pride = an insanely jealous hatred for every other culture that has left Islam groveling in its own seventh-century dust.

CAIR = Crying Arabic Islamic Retrogrades

Minaret = Satan's Jukebox - or - Howling Hell Tower

Burkha = Misogynistic Mobile Women's Prison

Muslim Chaplin (U.S. Armed Forces) = Turncoat Brigade Recruiter

Rape = something the guys get to do, especially to those hottie infidel chicks! (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

Modern Technology = "Huh? Oh yes, that stuff the evil infidels make and maintain for us to use for to kill them."

Allah = the Moon God, whose most important representative here on earth is that meteorite worshiped in Mecca

Little Boys = a man's pleasure machines

Paradise = a giant rape orgy for you - if you die while ruthlessly murdering innocent unsuspecting infidel women and children

U.S. Armed Forces = things to run away from or kill with booby-traps, unless you can take a cheap shot at them and then hide behind women and children or hide in a Mosque.

Christian Church = firewood

Synagogue = firewood

Buddhist Temple = firewood

Hindu Temple = firewood

Confucian Church = firewood

Jewish Restaurant = Bomb Demolition Depot

Holy site = anything Muslim, unlike those giant Buddhist statues in Afghanistan that were precious to Buddhists. “We blew those up real good! Heh, heh!”

Truce = a chance to regroup and kill more infidels later

Liberalism = the societal AIDS virus that stops the infidels from fighting Islam off

President John Kerry = The Islamonazi’s great white hope!

And they wonder why private school enrollments are up, and more parents are choosing to homeschool.

I won't even consider putting my 4-year-old in a public school. She's enrolled in a conservative Lutheran pre-K and will either stay there, in a Catholic school or will be homeschooled (haven't decided yet...but public school is not an option.)

This stuff is so absolutely enfuriating...man, it's a wonder some parent hasn't gone off the deep end and put a permanent end to one of the local indoctrination stations. If it's pushed much further, I imagine someone will eventually crack.

I was talking to a Christian friend once and she was telling me how she had to wear a hijab for a week out in public for a college class and mentioned all that "trying to understand" multi-cultural BS. She knew nothing about Islam (except the famous Bush "religion of peace" lunacy) and told me she got a lot of nasty looks.

I got so pissed off she must think I'm crazy (unstable, yes. Crazy, no). I told her that no woman in my life will ever wear a hijab (let alone a burka). If I ever heard my kids' school had planned this, I think I might have a hard time staying out of jail.

not this BS again

Which BS? Mine? I said I was unstable! :)

Seriously, though, I would be quite angry with the principle/school board for trying to convert my kids to Islam, or teach them it's the same as what they learn at home and at church. I didn't say I'd kill the "multi-cultural" teacher for crying out loud, but I'd sure make a stink in the principle's office (and we know how they'd react).

After September 11, my alma mater's "womens' organization" (i.e. their front for psychotic man-hating lesbians) wore Muslim headscarves to show solidarity with the Muslim students on campus.

The one Muslim student who I knew quite well (a male) was utterly baffled by this show of support.

Contrast that with a teammate of mine in college - an American of Egyptian descent who was still a cultural Muslim (she drank alcohol, so she obviously wasn't terribly adherent!). She still fasted during Ramadan; which is challenging when you have at least 2-3 hours per day of hard conditioning and athletic practice that fall within daylight hours. She'd just bring a snack with her to practice along with a HUGE water bottle, and down both as soon as the sun went down. Apparently Ramadan is important even to the most secular Muslims.

If anyone tried to make a kid of mine do this crud in school, they'd be out of public school that very day. The prevailing attitude in schools now is that it's OK to advocate for any faith EXCEPT Christianity. Public schools should teach academic subjects, not this feel-good fluff.

The Constitution guaranteed the separation of church and state to prevent the government from establishing a state religion and outlawing all other religions, as was being done in Englend at the time. The Liberals twisted it around so that the Judeo-Christian God could be removed from the schools. Why can't we turn their own game back on them and use it the same way to stop this Islamic indoctrination?
........Or just feed them all pork products?

“For teachers and administrators, as well as fellow students, explaining Ramadan helps the school accommodate the religious requirements of the holiday.”

It's illegal in America anymore to express any Christian beliefs in a public setting outside a church but it's imperative we 'explain' muslim religious customs to our children?!

It's waayyyy out of hand and this crap needs to be stopped. Multiculturalism be damned.

PUBLIC SCHOOLS EMBRACE ISLAM - A SHOCKER
By Reverend Austin Miles
Special to ASSIST News Service
Wednesday, January 9, 2002
BRENTWOOD, CA (ANS) -- As children return to school this week, following the Christmas break, 7th graders
in a growing number of public schools, who are not permitted to wear a cross or speak the name of Jesus, will
be required to attend an intensive three week course on Islam; a course in which students are mandated to learn
the tenets of Islam, study the important figures of the faith, wear a robe, adopt a Muslim name and stage their
own Jihad.

In Byron, California, parents were outraged when students came home with their handouts and were told what
was being taught. Their complaints to the school principal not only were ignored, but officials of this public
school, funded by tax dollars, essentially fluffed them off.

The public schools in California so stealthily slipped this course into the 7th grade curriculum that even another
7th grade teacher, Elizabeth Christina Lemings, was totally in the dark that this was being taught until her son,
Joseph, who is a 7th grader in the same school where she teaches, brought home the handouts.

“We could never teach Christianity like this,” Lemings said to ANS during anon-site interview. “We can't even
mention the name of Jesus in the public schools, but over there…,” she pointed to the building next to hers,
“they teach Islam as the true religion, and students are taught about Islam and how to pray to Allah.”

Lemings, in her second year of teaching in the Byron (Northern California) Union School District, has been a
Christian since 1987. The government school system requires that she teach evolution in her science class with
no reference to creationism or any contrasting viewpoint to Darwin’s theory. She quickly learned that God and
Christianity are out (forbidden) but that Islam is in.

The textbook used for the Islamic course, Across The Centuries, is published by Houghton-Mifflin (Boston, Ma).
It is described as a Social Studies/History book and has been adopted by the California School System.

In it, Islam is presented broadly in a totally positive manner, whereas the restricted references to Christianity, is
centered on The Reformation, Martin Luther and The Catholic Church. Everything Christian is shown in a
negative light, with events such as the Inquisition, the Salem witch-hunts, etc., highlighted in bold, black type.

This is proper for a complete study of history. However, there is not one negative to be found about Islam in this
one-sided account, such as the wars, massacres, cruelties against Christians and other non-Muslims that Islam
has consistently perpetrated over the centuries.

Nor is any mention made of the way Muslims treat their own people, cutting off hands, feet and heads for even
the slightest violations of the Islamic tenets of faith, or the shocking way they treat their women.

The ‘miraculous’ events leading up to the Koran, the ‘holy’ book of Islam, and other ‘revelations’ are presented
as factual. Any reference of the miraculous regarding Christianity is always set next to a disclaimer stating that;
“It was (is) believed by Christians (or an individual such as Martin Luther) that…..,”implying an absence of
credibility about the stated event.

For example, the representation that Gabriel the archangel came to Muhammad (Note: not believed to have
come to Muhammad) and dictated to him the Koran, a whole new revelation and idea that would surpass all
other religions.

What needs to be explained by the Houghton-Mifflin historians, is why Gabriel (which translates, “Man of God”),
the archangel of both Christians and Jews, who was a part of all of God's plan, who interpreted for Daniel the
vision of the ram and the he-goat, and comforted him after his prayer with the prophecy of the ‘seventy weeks’
and who heralded the good tidings by declaring the coming of the predicted Messiah, would at that point in time
and history, call on Muhammad, one who did not believe in Jehovah God or Jesus as the Son of God, and
‘reveal’ to him the words of the pagan god Allah to lead his people with. How's that again?

It would be most interesting to have the Houghton-Mifflin experts explain what possessed Gabriel to turn on the
God of Abraham and Jesus Christ to lend assistance to what would become a murderous cult with no regard for
life, the very antithesis of Christianity. There is a deplorable lack of information here.

And too, the Book of Revelation clearly states that no words should be added or taken away from that book. So
this in itself poses a major contradiction and problem.

The faulty textbook, Across the Centuries, has more than its share of deceit. It is stated as fact that Islam,
Judaism and Christianity share in common the belief in one god. This is a half-truth, which is the worst kind of lie.
Christianity and Judaism worship one God, the God of Abraham. Islam worships one god named Allah.
This hook is misleading on the part of Houghton-Mifflin. The publisher apparently is attempting to legitimize Islam.

If this were an authentic history, the textbook would explain that the god of Muhammad was man's creation.
Arabia was a pagan nation that worshiped over 300 gods. One of those was the moon god named, al-ilah.
Legend has it that the moon god mated with the sun god and had two daughters, both of whom were worshiped
as goddesses. When Muhammad claimed to have had his ‘vision’ and ‘revelation from Gabriel’ he chose al-ilah
as the god to build his army around.

Muhammad shortened the name, al-ilah, to, Allah, and declared that he alone should be worshiped. He forbade
the worship of the daughters. To this day, a crescent moon can be found at the front of every mosque,
acknowledging that Allah was, and is the moon god. All of this is missing from the Houghton-Mifflin accounts.

It is also to be noted, even though not publicized, that Allah is also known as, The God of War. So why isn't this
important study of Islam included in the history books?

The handouts used in this course, obtained by ANS, are considerable. They include a history of Islam and the
life of Muhammad its founder.

Muhammad is portrayed as an extremely moral man who wanted a society of purity. A vast body of historical
accounts will refute this image. Historians will show that he had multiple wives, a sexual problem, and among
his wives, he took a 10-year-old girl for his pleasure (some accounts list her age as 6).

And Islam promises its followers that those who become suicide bombers, killing themselves and others, will go
directly to Allah's paradise where they will be given 72 virgins for unbridled sexual pleasure for all of eternity.

There are many verses in the Koran that must be memorized in this Public School course and students are
taught to pray, “in the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful” and to chant, “Praise to Allah, Lord of
Creation.”

There are 25 Islamic terms that must be memorized, six Islamic (Arabic) phrases, 20 Islamic Proverbs to learn
along with the Five Pillars of Faith and 10 key Islamic prophets and disciples to be studied.

“Can you imagine the barrage of lawsuits and problems we would have from the ACLU if Christianity were taught
in the public schools, and if we tried to teach about the contributions of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the
Apostle Paul?” teacher Elizabeth Lemings lamented. “But when it comes to furthering the Islamic religion in the
public schools, there is not one word from the ACLU, People For The American Way or anybody else. This is
hypocrisy!”

Even more disturbing; students are to pretend that they are Muslims, wear Muslim clothing to school, stage their
own Jihad via a dice game, and pick out a Muslim name (to replace their own) from a list of thirty.

ANS asked some of the students what they thought about this course. All of them felt that “it was fun,” while others
described Islam as “a pretty culture." This included a pastor's son! Joseph Lemings, 12, said, “The Jihad was
like playing a video game,” even though the true violent nature of Jihad was well concealed.

Lemings is disturbed by the “fun” description. She sees it as a tool, not only to engender sympathy and support
for the Muslim cause, but for recruitment. “This is not just a class of history of examining culture,” she said. “This
course is entirely too specific. It is more about indoctrination.”

Lemings, upon learning of the course on Islam, approached the principal of Intermediate-Excelsior School of
Byron, Nancy Castro, requesting the right to teach Christianity in the manner that Islam is taught and for the
same length of time.

Castro has not responded to her request. Lemings later received, round about, information that the only way she
could do this would be to teach the Christianity class (as a Christian Club) after school hours where students
would come of their own accord. Otherwise, she would violate the law of (selective) Separation of Church and
State. Excuse me?

In an interview with Nancy Castro, the principal of the schools in Byron, she stated to ANS that the Islam course
(hidden within “History of Cultures”) reflects California (educational) Standards that meet State requirements.

When asked about the intensity of the Islamic course, Castro stated that the course “is not religion, but Ancient
Culture and History. And,” she pointed out, “the text is a State Adopted textbook. We do not endorse any
religion, we just make students aware.”

She stated that the textbook is now in use throughout California. When asked if she would allow Christianity to
be taught the same way that Islam is taught, Castro stammered before saying that Christianity is already taught
in the History and Culture class, “which,” she said, “actually starts in the 6th grade.”

She said that this class started a year ago. The Christianity that is taught is brief, taught as a myth, and strictly
negative. This is how it is portrayed in the textbook.

Lemings had stated to ANS that there were many, many parents who protested this course on Islam, especially
after September 11th (which, coincidentally, is when the course began). Nancy Castro contradicted this account.

Asked if there was any response from parents about this course, Castro answered, “Oh a couple of parents
called to express concerns, three to be exact.”

Peggy Green, Superintendent of the Byron Union School District did not return calls by press time.

The Muslim's intentions are clear and the public has been continually notified of that fact. In nearby Fremont,
where the majority of the over 150,000 Muslims living in the Bay Area reside, Omar M. Ahmad, chairman of the
board of the Council on American-Islamic relations said this at the Flamingo Palace banquet hall: “I urge
Muslims not to shirk their duty of sharing the Islamic faith with those who are on the ‘wrong-side.’”

He said that Muslims should not assimilate into American society. “If you choose to live here, you have a
responsibility to deliver the message of Islam…Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to
become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion
on earth,” he said. These quotes were published in the ”San Ramon Valley Herald” on July 4, 1998, (ironically
on our Independence Day), 3 years, 2 months and 7 days before September 11, 2001. And like everything
else, Americans and church leaders didn't pay any attention to it. In the same article, Ahmad stated: “Everything
we need to know is in the Koran.” And bear in mind that the Koran clearly states that Muslims are obligated
to kill Christians, Jews and all other infidels.

Same judge OK'd Muslim prayer that OK'd partial birth abortion.
June 1, 2004

Tuesday, June 1, 2004 11:04 p.m. EDT Same Judge OK'ed Muslim Prayer

The same San Francisco federal judge who just overturned a federal law banning partial-birth abortions also approved of Muslim prayer in schools when federal rulings ban all other denominational prayers and activities.

In a December 2003 decision, U.S. District Judge Phyllis Hamilton decided that it was lawful for a California middle school teacher to require students to recite Muslim prayers, get down on their knees and role-play as Muslim adherents.

As part of the class students were told to recite: "In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of Creation, The Compassionate, the Merciful, King of Judgment-day! You alone we worship, and to You alone we pray for help, Guide us to the straight path."

The Byron County 7th-grade world history teacher was sued by the parents of one of the students, who claimed that their child had been coerced to engage in a religious practice.

Hamilton, in a summary judgment, ruled that the teacher's actions were legal.

The teacher prepared a student guide which said that as part of the study of Islam "you and your classmates will become Muslims."

According to court documents, the teacher also read the Koran and Muslim prayers out loud in class and required students to recite lines of Muslim prayers in class as well.

Students also were told to recite Islamic prayers as they exited the class, including the Muslim refrain "In the name of God, most merciful, most gracious."

The teacher also assigned students to fast or give up something like TV for a day to experience Islam's month of Ramadan and one of its pillars of faith.

At the end of their Islamic studies, students also were required to write an essay on Islam. But, but the teacher instructed her students, "BE CAREFUL HERE – If you don't have something positive to say, don't say anything!!!"

In her ruling, Judge Hamilton threw out the parents' case, saying the religious role-playing was not tantamount to the exercise of religion and the school activities were not of a devotional or religious nature.

Aw hell. I was just getting around to starting my Kwaanza shopping, and they throw yet another holiday on us.

I'm fortunate to live in a part of the country where, for now at least, the kids still sing about Jesus at Christmas in school. Following 9-11, the principal got the boy scouts to put up several hundred US flags around the school perimeter.

I just won't accept that we're doomed to being dragged to our cultural deaths with the rest of the nation by the hate America crowd. Local involvement in the schools is a large part of that, and the next faces on scotus is another. God save our republic.

I think an even better lesson for the kiddies would be to take one of the 9th grade girls in the school who is supposedly fooling around with the guys and stone her to death on the playground as a demonstration of how Islam handles that problem. Either that, or have her brother show up to behead her for disgracing the family by consorting with infidels.

In the meantime, no Christmas carols are allowed to be sung nor the name of Christ mentioned.

The Islamification of America's next generation has begun, by the liberal-demokkkRATs in the corrupt public school system.

How about some lawsuits to halt this crap, dammit?

Since Christianity and Judaism aren't allowed in school, ban Islam, too. Where are the students' parents on this abomination?

If I lived there, I'd have my attorney filing suits and injunctions, 24 x 7!

ThanK YOU very much for posting this. I had NO idea things were this BIZZARE.

"... growing number of public schools, who are not permitted to wear a cross or speak the name of Jesus, will
be required to attend an intensive three week course on Islam."

It's frightening. We are now desensitizing and nullifying Christianity and brainwashing innocent children wtih evil. MANY thanks again. I will be posting this elsewhere.

I sent a snippet of the article to a friend and his response is below. It's a sad day in America when this is allowed to happen.

"When xxxx reached 5th grade, a grade in which I took Bible class in 1975, we all took Bible class
unless your parents waived you out, xxxx also had the opportunity to take Bible class. The
difference though is that he had to substitute it for gym, board an old painted-up school bus,
leave the school property and drive down to the county fairgrounds and park, engine off, no heat,
to learn about the Bible."

you know, I never thought of it, or should I say, looked at it that closely, before about 1988. 2000 really woke me up. I think that people sincerely don't understand the nature of it. Oh, sure, there actually are *some* peaceful people, but the teachings that drive the acts we see and what happens in countries where they are in power, that is what is problematic. So I can almost understand that some people still have a pre-9/11 mentality, but you would think these 100's of acts (Bali, against Israel, Spain, Iraq beheadings, ad infinitum) would have awakened more of the world. Many have woken up but others, like this aid worker just kidnapped, may have realized or will realize it too late.

Why should our children be taught the teachings of such an evil man.

Muslims decided to follow a prophet called Muhammad. Why? I’ll never understand why these people have decided to do such a thing. This man was not Holy and pure without sin, like the Muslims claim.

The Prophet Muhammad had nine wives http://www.1upinfo.com/encyclopedia/M/Muhammd-enemies-and-converts.html I’ve got news for the Muslims, having nine wives is something that the western society does condemn. To this day it is against the law in the United States to have more than one wife. The western society man is not as full of lust, sex, and sin as the Prophet Muhammad. The western society man, like Adam, is grateful to God for giving him one woman. The western society man is not greedy like the devil.
With all this said, no way in hell was the prophet Muhammad pure. Lust and sex is involved with every relationship especially in nine different relationships, and what makes the prophet Muhammad think that it was right to marry his own 6 year old niece Aishah (Ayesha). Also what makes him think that is was right to consummate his marriage to her when she was 9 years old and he was 54 years old. http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/sina/ayesha.htm
Anyone who claims that they are submitted to God should not lust over a child, but prophet Muhammad did. This action alone was the devil’s work. The prophet Muhammad was a pedophile and being a pedophile is carrying out the devil’s work. The Western society does not condone this type of behavior, the Muslims do. I wonder how they can explain this to God.
Muslims decided to follow a prophet called Muhammad because he claimed that the angel Gabriel appeared to him. Why did the Muslims decide to take Muhammad’s word that the angel Gabriel appeared to him? There was never anybody who could back up his claim, only him.

I will always wonder why the angel Gabriel did not appear to someone else, to let them know that Muhammad was chosen by God. This is what I don’t understand, why the Muslims never questioned this. Why they only took his word for it and followed him.

When God chose the Virgin Mary, who was pure without sin, at that point Gabriel also appeared to others and there was proof that God was involved. The angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary, he also appeared to the shepherds and Joseph and the Eastern star guided the wise men to the baby Jesus (The son of God and the last true Prophet.). Oh, I do believe with my whole heart that Gabriel did appear to Joseph because if he hadn’t we all know that a middle eastern man would not have stayed with Mary.

Anyone, like Muhammad can claim that they ascended into heaven or that they split the moon during a lunar eclipse. Notice that he screwed up when he claims that he ascended into heaven and said that Moses was a tall brown curly-haired man. We all know that Moses hair turned white. But I like the fact that he claims Jesus was wearing the good ole American colors, red and white.
http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/islam.htm

Jesus rose from the dead, Muhammad did not. Jesus was the Son of God, Muhammad was not. Jesus did many miracles, Muhammad did not. Jesus was seen by over 500 people when He went up to heaven, Muhammad was put in a grave. Jesus quoted scriptures written thousands of years before His coming while Muhammad made up his own scriptures and claimed that he preached to genies as his proof of being a prophet. Muhammad even contradicted himself when he quoted his various fairy tales. Muhammad sinned against many people. Jesus sinned against no one. Not ONE of Jesus' enemies could ever truthfully say anything bad about Him. People that Muhammad tortured could certainly talk bad about him.

If you'd like to be on this middle east/political ping list, please FR mail me.

Stephen Schwartz, writing in Tech Central Station in a piece entitled Columbus Day Dreams, says there is now a mission underway to assert that Columbus hired a Muslim navigator to guide his ships.

No doubt because of the five Jews generally accepted to be on the voyage, one was a navigator. Next it will be the interpriter who, though Jewish, did speak Arabic.

Christopher Columbus, Multicultural

Politics, not history, is behind this new tale.

By Robert Spencer

Not too many years ago, I witnessed a small band of angry protesters stalking down a Manhattan street chanting, "Columbus! Did Not! Discover! America!" I remember how quickly Columbus became a symbol of all that was wrong with the West: racism, imperialism, colonialism — and don't forget smallpox and cholera.

But now the old sea dog can come in from the cold, though an unlikelier candidate for a multicultural poster child could hardly be found. In a press release issued late last month titled "Islamic Influence Runs Deep in American Culture," Phyllis McIntosh of the State Department's Washington File burbles that "Islamic influences may date back to the very beginning of American history. It is likely that Christopher Columbus, who discovered America in 1492, charted his way across the Atlantic Ocean with the help of an Arab navigator."

Rewrite the history books, indoctrinate the children, and you can own the future. The bit about the Arab navigator is not just being put out by State, but will also be taught in Massachusetts public schools this year. Some lucky Massachusetts teachers were recently treated to a week-long workshop called "The Genesis and Genius of Islam." It featured professors from Boston College, College of the Holy Cross, Harvard, and Bridgewater State College, including Ibrahim Kalin, assistant professor of religious studies at Holy Cross. According to a local Massachusetts paper, Kalin said that "Islamic sailors were the best seamen of the day," and "noted that even Christopher Columbus had several Muslim sailors on his voyage that wound up in the New World."

Unfortunately for State and the schoolchildren of Massachusetts, there is not a shred of historical evidence for this. While assertions of this kind can readily be found on Islamic websites, none of the preeminent historians of Columbus's voyages — not Samuel Eliot Morison, Salvador de Madariaga, Paolo Emilio Taviani, or any other — has any record of this Muslim presence among the crew. And remember, Columbus was only sailing in the first place to find a way for European traders (who were Christians in those days) to avoid land routes to the Far East. Those land routes were controlled by Muslims, and passed through areas only recently conquered from Christians — most notably, the ancient holdings of the Byzantine empire, whose capital, Constantinople, had fallen to the Muslims in 1453. Columbus was commissioned by Ferdinand and Isabella, who had just defeated the last Muslims in Spain and driven them out of the country.

Did Columbus tag after the retreating Muslims and hire a navigator and a few sailors? According to the leading authority on Columbus's voyages, the historian Samuel Eliot Morison, the name of Columbus's navigator was Martín Pinzón, who served as captain of the Pinta. Of the known names of his crew members, there is an abundance of Juans and Pedros, but nary a Mahmoud or Ahmad. In those days, Christian names almost always meant the bearer was a Christian. As Muhammad Ali and Yusuf Islam can tell you, it is unlikely that a Muslim would have borne a Christian name.

It is even more unlikely that Muslim crewmen would have willingly served under Christians. Muslim Spain was not the multicultural paradise of modern myth; it was, rather, a sharia state in which non-Muslims were forbidden to hold authority over Muslims. This law was sometimes ignored, but that always aroused the resentment of the Muslim populace. Would Muslim sailors who had so recently been citizens of this state have willingly signed on to take orders from Christians — and men against whom they had just been at war?

Further, Muslim sailors would not have found Columbus's ships a congenial atmosphere: Columbus firmly believed that the Christian God had called him to this mission. In the diaries he kept during the voyage, he praised Ferdinand and Isabella for being "Catholic Christians, and princes who love and promote the holy Christian faith," as well as for being "enemies of the doctrine of Mahomet, and of all idolatry and heresy."

Columbus's crew prayed often on the ship — Christian prayers, not multicultural ones, and certainly not the maghrib and isha prayers or any other of the five daily prayers of Islam. "At sunset," according to Morison, "the Blessed Virgin was saluted with her ancient canticle, Salve Regina." Neither Morison nor any other historian of Columbus's voyages records any protest by Muslim crewmen against this overt display of Christian religiosity. Columbus's crew, historians record, even broke out in Te Deum, laudamus when they sighted land. Of the captain himself, Morison notes that "as a pious Christian, faithful in his religious duties, Columbus kept a book of hours in his cabin, and whenever possible said his prayers in private at the appointed hours."

There was an Arabic speaker on hand — but he was of Jewish, not Muslim background. According to historian Thomas W. Jodziewicz of the University of Dallas, "There was a converted Jew on board Columbus' ship who spoke Arabic: if Chinese or Japanese folks were contacted, he would supposedly be able to communicate with them!"

So why are the State Department and the Massachusetts public schools purveying all this hooey? Repeated calls to the State Department and Phyllis McIntosh went unreturned; the State Department's Bureau of International Information Programs issues a blizzard of press releases on its website, but offers no clear or easy way to contact a live human in the office. Its contact procedures are labyrinthine, self-contradictory, and generally culminate in an answering machine on which messages go unreturned.

Why would an "information" bureau play so hard to get? Could it be to fend off embarrassing questions from Americans while spreading politically motivated, ahistorical fairy tales to an eager international audience? The agenda is clear: This is about contemporary p.c. politics, not history.

It's all presented as an exercise in understanding. Speaking of his students, a Massachusetts history teacher who attended the workshop asked, "How can they understand Iraq if they don't know the history of the people?" Indeed. But it really isn't the history of Iraq, or of Columbus's voyages, that State and the Massachusetts educrats are interested in. What they're really on about is the history — and future — of the United States.

The multiculturalist fantasy is designed to make Americans more accepting of an influential Islamic presence in this country. But unfortunately, since few at the State Department seems concerned about how to screen terrorists out of this Islamic presence, they're likely to find that the Muslims to whom they have surrendered their history — and whom they have invited into their future — are no more multicultural than their forefathers of 1492.
