This is why I really and truly believe that Bush will win, because God has always protected Israel, just look at your bible, and Kerry won't protect it, but Bush will.

I never said, and never meant to imply, that President Bush's support for Israel is a political trick to get Jewish votes. I assume it is sincere and in conformity with his overall policies and beliefs. However, the point remains that if his strong support of Israel does not gain him Jewish votes then future Republican politicians would properly conclude that supporting Israel will not gain them Jewish votes. You are probably correct that evangelical Christians are a stronger force of support for Israel than the largely liberal American Jewish population.

In the effort to beat Kerry and the Left, building coaltions is the key, and as such I welcome the input of Krauthammer, especially in his devestating rebuke of Edwards disgraceful comments about people getting out wheelchairs if Kerry wins. Generally speaking, I agree with Krauthammer.
But I'll never forget his slander of people who think fondly of the Confederate flag as 'racist, redneck, yahoos' that he made after Dean spoke of going after their votes. There were at least two huge problems with that libel -- 1. It accepts the Leftwing notion that there is only one valid view of the Confederate flag; and that is of an inherently racist symbol and that anyone who displays one is a racist. This is of course garbage, and indicative of a malicioius ignorance. 2. Krauthammer was insulting the people most likely to actually vote for his preferred party - the GOP - and the people who are probably dying most disproportionately - rural whites - in the war in Iraq that he so eagerly supported.
So my feelings on the guy are mixed, but I welcome his efforts to beat Kerry.

I saw the producer/director of Airplane and Naked Gun on O'Reilly, a guy named Zucker, backing Bush last night because of Israel. He's not a household name like Spielberg, but he did make my favorite comedy of all time in Airplane.
And the American Jews still vote Democrat.
