You know dude, that just wasn't enough on the subject.

Since 09/11 our airports have become zones of fascism in our 'homeland'. The Patriot Acts I and II have been leveled against the populace as a very public expression of tighter security. The problem for me all along has been, that these tighter expressions of security wouldn't be necessary if we had our borders under full control, and we would plug the loopholes like the ones involving these flight schools.

The citizens of the United States have been affected 99.99% while the terrorists continue what terrorists tend to do.

Our borders are wide open. Terrorists can cross them at will. Terrorist sympathizers go merrily about their business. The whole friggen democrat party has practicly picked up arms and joined them. Still, the best we can do is design programs that target the law-abiding citizen more than terrorists.

Why no moratorium on immigration or even entry from terrorist states? Why no end to illegal border crossings? Why no inspection of cargo into the U.S.?

Frankly, it's very clear that our leaders just don't give a damn. Kerry and company would be even worse, but preventing that is not much consolation in light of this administration's head in the sand attitude, when it comes to homeland security. 30 Billion dollars and a whole new department, supposedly better communications between our intelligence community, and this is the best we can do.

Headline: 96 Iraqis arrested on the southern border without passports for the U.S., headed into the country. Date Withing 24 hours of 09/11/2001.

Headline: 100 middle eastern possible terrorists mistakenly allowed to enter the U.S. Circa spring 2003

Headline: Middle-eastern man caught in Chicago, shopping his abilities to groups he thinks will help him carry out terrorist attacks in the U.S. How did he get there? He crossed into the U.S. at the Mexican border, illegaly. Circa summer 2003

Headline: Two 24 man Al Qaeda cells possible enter the U.S. across the Mexican border. Circia 09/15/2004

We need to guit futzing around and get serious about homeland security before you can I have to get permission to travel to the local super-market.

You are right on all points.

The government will only act when the citizenry becomes more of a threat than the islamofascists. The People rising will be the impetus for them to finally deal with the problem.

The Justice Department has said 30,000 foreigners applied to U.S. flight schools last year.

Holy smokes.
