The Tale of the Sand Dollar Shell
There is a special sea shell,
And "Sand Dollar" is its name,
Created by our Maker,
To have a special fame.
It tells of Christ and Christmas time,
On either side a fact,
The front the Star of Bethlehem,
A poinsettia on the back.
And not just Jesus' birth is told,
By this amazing shell,
Five of the crucifixion wounds,
Are borne by it as well.
And lastly, five of Heaven's Hosts,
Proclaim "Good News" within,
"The Lord has risen from the dead,"
"His death has paid for sin!"
So if this treasure you should find,
While strolling on the beach,
Remember your salvation is,
By faith within your reach.

When I went to college in Biddeford ME many years ago, I collected many sand dollars...I don't know why I did it at the time, it was just something about them that seemed to be telling me about God and his perfectness.

Thanks for the post.
