Joe has a bad back and been away for the past 2 weeks or so,
sometimes they link him up from Florida, the other day they just had him on the phone and that is when he mentioned he had a bad back........I hope he is better and they can at least do the show from Florida........he's quite convinced Bush is winning this election.....

O'Donnell is a political hack, makes Carville look mild by comparison.

SOB ODonnell!!
I wrote a gazillon emails to Scarborough about this....but today I am writing him, asking WHEN he is going to come on the show and condem ODonnells treatment of John ONeil.. and when is MSNBC going to make ODonnell apologise... I think everyone SHOULD email and ask those two questions.....

He should have a suspension for at least 2 weeks and that would be getting off easy. People lose their jobs over things like this, like Micheal Savage did.

I'm eating lunch and listening to Laura Ingraham playing excerpts of that program and it's ruining my appetite.

One thing I've noticed: Bush supporters, for the most part, have class, respect the law, social norms and conventions, and in general seem to be decent people.

The Kerry supporters, for the most part, are none of those things, but instead are unbalanced, unhinged, and seem to be willing to say or do anything, no matter what the consequences, no matter who or what gets hurt, to acquire political power. Voter fraud, character assault and slander, union thugs trashing political offices, etc. are all completely acceptable ways to acquire power. Whatever it takes.

Seems fairly evil to me to sell one's political or moral soul to acquire political power.

Is that the show Buchanan hosted?
I don't know the guy's name, but here's the transcript:

Dem nutjob: (screaming) LIAR LIAR BLAH BLAH LIAR
O'Neill: Facts Facts Facts etc
Dem nutjob: (screaming) LIAR LIAR VIETNAM KERRY LIAR BLAH BLAH
O'Neill: Facts Facts more Facts etc

The Dem nutjob simply confirmed he's an out-of-control nutjob.
O'Neill came off really well, he remained calm and stuck to the facts, which really drove the other guy insane.

Thanks for posting it. When you hear it it's just a bunch of intimidation. On paper, though, there are some important points being made.

The most important to me is that Kerry pushed a Vietcong plan that would have required the US to leave first, and then negotiate for the release of the POW's. The POW's believe today (and doubtless believed then) that a plan like that one would have resulted in their never being returned. It would have sealed their fate as victims of VC murder.

I never knew this before.

I thought this quote from Pat near the end was interesting.

Here to talk about it are Jack Burkman, Republican strategist, and Lawrence O‘Donnell, MSNBC‘s senior political analyst, until later tonight.

Also, Frank Luntz was pretty disguested with O'Donnell. Frank said this:

FRANK LUNTZ, POLLSTER: Well, I‘m afraid to comment, because, Lawrence, who I like very much and I enjoy his company, is probably going to call me a liar five times

and then this:

I will be very grateful 10 days from now when this election is over, because all this yelling and screaming and this intensity of hatred from one side to another is out of control. And I have got to tell you, in walking the streets of either swing states like Iowa or Ohio, or New York, L.A., people have just had it with all the yelling and all the—it‘s crap. It‘s too much.

Moral relativity allows one to behave any way one feels like with no care for facts or consequences. It also makes one a spoiled brat who's miserable whether they get their way or not.

I had the misfortune of seeing O'Donnell on the MacLaughlin group this weekend, and O'Donnell's screed of the day was "if the President can't protect us against the flu, how can he protect us againt bioterrorism?"

Not a mention of how Hillary and Edwards drove the vaccine makers out of the country etc.

He is delusionsal and a grade A liar, a shill for Kerry who will say ANYTHING to help Kerry win.

I will no longer be watching the MacLaughlin group.

From the same transcript later on in the show:

I now think the way that whole Cheney daughter thing played out, that that would have been the right line, that—suggesting surprise at the offense, but if you‘ve taken the offense, I‘m sorry.

BURKMAN: Do you think it‘s OK that they attacked Cheney‘s daughter?

O‘DONNELL: They didn‘t attack the daughter.

BURKMAN: Well, do you think what they said is OK?

O‘DONNELL: Yes.

BURKMAN: Is it?

O‘DONNELL: Yes.

(CROSSTALK)

O‘DONNELL: She‘s a lesbian and she has lesbian sex.

BURKMAN: But is appropriate to call attention, for a presidential candidate...

O‘DONNELL: The reason I know that is that her father told me.

(CROSSTALK)

O‘DONNELL: Her father and mother told me she‘s a lesbian and has lesbian sex.

(CROSSTALK)

BURKMAN: That‘s not the issue.

(CROSSTALK)

BURKMAN: That‘s not the issue.

My question is, do you think it‘s appropriate for a person seeking the highest office in the world to raise that in a presidential debate?

O‘DONNELL: Because I believe there is nothing negative about lesbianism, and I‘m very much in favor of as much lesbianism as lesbians want to create in the world, and as many of lesbian Cheney family members as they want to have is all fine by me, I see nothing negative.

(CROSSTALK)

BURKMAN: I‘ll tell you, Pat. Even Bill Clinton and Al Gore—Al Gore, who in the 2000 campaign use every dirty and scurrilous tactic known to man, they did not...

O‘DONNELL: Dirty, scurrilous lesbians. Dirty, scurrilous lesbians.

....

This boy needs some serious help. There's a grade schooler, in need of a serious time out, trapped in an adult's body.

The transcript doesn't do the actual exchange justice, because O'Donnell came off like a madman on tv!

I have some more info about him being gone, and links to the show and video transcripts on my website. I have an unofficial fansite dedicated to him and the show. He's had an aggravation of a back injury that he had to have surgery for in 1999.

ScarboroughRocks.com

(And hey, sign my guestbook with your concerns about O'Donnell, he's a nutcase that needs to NEVER be on there again-except to apologize to O'Neill)

From things he's said here and there (see his blog- it is awesome), the pain has been so bad that's he on heavy pain medication and fairly immobile.

I feel so bad for him, awful timing. He sounds quite frustrated. He did a lot of cross country plane traveling in Sept. for his book tour...I bet that was a big cause.

I miss him a ton, he knows how to really put down all the naysayers out there.
