Thank you, Aqua. :) I'm sorry you couldn't open the link. I haven't tried it today, but it's possible that it's gotten too many hits.
You can do the vignettes WITH the drop shadows in PE, too - it just takes longer to learn it than in PD. :(
WHOA, Maggie! Thank you! So happy to see you here today, and yesterday too. :) Isn't your little goodnight gif the cutest thing - wolfie is a sweetheart!

3 from N.C. face felony anti-spam trial
LEESBURG, VA. - Jury selection concluded Monday in a trial of three North Carolinians facing what the Virginia attorney generals office says is the nations first felony trial of alleged purveyors of unsolicited bulk e-mail, or spam.
The Loudoun County Circuit Court jury will hear opening arguments today in the case, which is expected to last about seven days.
The jury of nine men and four women, including an alternate, was seated after a day of extensive questioning about their Internet habits.
Seating a jury was complicated somewhat due to the technical savvy of the jury pool in Loudoun County, home to Dulles-based AOL.
Defense attorneys questioned potential jurors about their use of AOL service and their feelings about spam. About half of them were AOL customers.
The defense had previously expressed concerns about AOL subscribers ability to serve on a jury.
Judge Thomas Horne did not bar AOL users from the jury but allowed questioning to determined if there might be a bias against spammers.
Jeremy Jaynes and his sister, Jessica DeGroot, both of Raleigh, and Richard Rutkowski, of Cary, are charged with sending hundreds of thousands of unsolicited e-mail messages hawking everything from mortgage rates to stock schemes.
Virginia Attorney General Jerry Kilgore has said the e-mail transmissions were manipulated to prevent the receiver from knowing who sent the spam.
The defendants were charged in Virginia because the state is a major hub for Internet traffic.
If convicted, the three face up to 20 years in prison each.
My ATTORNEY
After living what I felt was a "decent" life, my time on earth came to the
end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of
what I thought to be a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to
come in and have a seat by the defense table.
As I looked around I saw the "prosecutor." He was a villainous looking gent
who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I
have ever seen.
I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, a kind and
gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew
Him.
The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing
robes. He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room. I
couldn't take my eyes off of Him As He took His seat behind the bench, He
said, "Let us begin."
The prosecutor rose and said, "My name is Satan and I am here to show you
why this sinner belongs in hell." He proceeded to tell of lies that I told,
things that I stole, and in the past when I cheated others. Satan told of
other horrib le perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke,
the further down in my seat I sank.
I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney,
as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about. As
upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally
upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense
at all. I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good
in my life -- couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?
Satan finished with a fury and said, "This sinner belongs in hell, and is
guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove
otherwise."
When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the
bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and
beckoned Him to come forward. As He got up and started walking, I was able
to see Him in His full splendor and majesty. I realized why He seemed so
familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, "Hi, Dad," and then He
turned to address the court. "Satan was correct in saying that this man had
sinned, I won't de ny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wage of sin is
death, and this sinner deserves to be punished." Jesus took a deep breath
and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, "However, I
died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has
accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine."
My Lord continued with, "His name is written in the book of life and no one
can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not
to be given justice, but rather mercy."
As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said,"There
is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all."
The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following
words resounded from His lips... "This man is free. The penalty for him has
already been paid in full. Case dismissed."
As my Lord embraced me and led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and
raving, "I won't give up, I will win the next one."
I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, "Have you ever
lost a case?" Christ lovingly smiled and said, "Everyone that has come to Me
and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, "PAID
IN FULL."
"Stop telling God how big your storm is. Instead, tell the storm how big
your God is!"
Miss Billie ... a beautiful thread and tribute to our President ... thank you. ... )
A week to go ... I'm praying every day ... and every day I'm trusting in the Lord and His judgement of our Nation.
May God favor and bless our Dubya.
Great presentation this morning. Cool looking background graphics to accent the pics of W.
October Surprise Alert!!! Convinced my Dem neighbor to vote for Bush. So many neighbors - so little time. :)
(((((Billie))))))
Absolutely *beautiful* and moving thread today.
Yes, he makes me proud I was born in the USA. I am so thankful and so blessed for that privilege. It's too bad others on the left don't feel that way.
Trying to maintain a positive attitude, although it becomes more difficult with each passing day and all of the shenanigans that are going on at the early voting polls in FL.
Thank you for bringing us this uplifting thread.
Thank you, Dubya.
I thank you, JFox, for the way you always do and always have made us smile inside when we read your posts. So happy you b'long to us!
I join you in your prayers for our Nation, and for our President. Heaven knows, the rats and their accomplices in the media are doing everything in their power to bring him down.
Thank you. :) I'm so glad you like it, Dave! And your October Surprise is fantastic!!! WAY TO GO, CALIFORNIA GUY!!! Will this be BOTH the Mister and the Missus Neighbor?! Now on to the other neighbors - you can do it - you are very persuasive!
Thanks so much, angel sistah. After all this time - the longest campaign - thank goodness, there's only one more week before Americans makes their voices heard. Pray, pray, pray the voices are loud enough to *be* heard clearly.
((((((((((((((Dansy))))))))))))))
Oh, believe me, I *have* been! The lines between here and heaven have been glowing red with energy!
:-)
I know you have, dansy. Can you just imagine the strength, and determination, and the faith that President Bush has....and the ENERGY he has to sustain him in this grueling campaign! God Bless him - if good triumps evil, we will most definitely see four more years for this good man.
He has said many times that he is sustained by all of our prayers. A faith-less man would never feel that energy. I can only *imagine* what sustains sKerry.
Speaking of which, it makes my blood boil every time that sKerry refers to himself as "Catholic." I'm a Catholic and I can tell you that he is *not.*
Our faith teaches that if you defy the Pope and other Church elders and if you openly scorn the dogma of the Church (pro-abortion, married a second time without an official annulment of the first marriage just for starters), you may not receive the sacraments of the Church.
He keeps on digging up liberal parishes who will allow him to receive Holy Communion which is tantamount to giving the finger to the entire Catholic faith.
I have to believe, like you, that this faith-less man will be defeated by one who is truly full of faith - George W. Bush.
Beautiful and uplifting thread, dear Billie! Thank you! :)
I loved this post so much, Dubya! Thank you for posting it!
Thank you, Kitty. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hope you try to listen to the song - it's got a country/western beat of course - what else would work for Dubya? :)
Billie...Those pictures of our President are great. Thanks.
Sorry I have not been around much. Life is crazy busy. Hope to speak with you all more very soon.
Now dry up! LOL
