Nothing further. Freaking Russians ...
Kerry's huge scandal has just blown up. In his face. He will look like a fool over the next couple of days. He made desperate charges, and now he will have to conduct a climbdown. This is the end.
I strongly suspect that this story, if it gets play, will lead to a loss of some morale among marginal Kerry voters.
Second: the SPETZNAZ moved in and moved the stuff to Syria. Why? BECAUSE THE STUFF HAD BEEN MADE AND SOLD TO SADDAM BY THE RUSSIANS AND UNDER RUSSIAN SUPERVISION!!!! If it's SPETZNAZ troops, or the Guards Iron Hammer Airborne troops, it's Putin's personal operation.
We KNEW this, and have known it all along. It was the intention of Bush to forgive the Russians their tresspasses because Putin never betrayed Bush personally. The Russians were in cold pursuit of their national interests. We knew that Putin was moving the stuff out. We also knew something else:
Putin took possession of Saddam's WMD stockpile, in part to give the headstrong Americans pause, in part to cover their own participation in the Moustache's arms buildup, and lastly to keep it out of the hands of Al Qaeda, and their good friends, the Chechens. Botulinum toxin or VX gas works just as well in the Moscow Subway system as it would in Penn Station. I will bet you that Bush, Rice, Powell, Rummy, the head spooks at CIA, Blair, and MI-6 knew this as well.
This story tells me the whole missing ingredient: Vladimir Putin. Only the KGB could assemble a team in a short time and get the bad stuff out. They knew where it was hidden; we did not. He must have promised Saddam asylum and a healthy retirement on the Black Sea in exchange for cooperation. I wonder how long it took for Saddam to realize that Putin had taken him to the cleaners?
Why did we let a huge KGB operation go forward? Why did we let the WMD escape? Well, two reasons:
1. The WMD and the high explosives were going into Russian hands. Russians are reasonable, sane people. They are not Arabs.
2. And the most important reason of all? Saddam would never get the chance to use combat mycotoxins or VX against our troops. It is possible that hundreds of lives were saved this way, possibly several thousand. If the choice was between Bush being embarrassed and having to put up with the likes of a blowhard like John Kerry and Bush presiding over the loss of hundreds of guys in a single day due to VX?
The choice, my friends, was an easy one for Bush to make.
Which is another reason why he gets my vote: the interest of the fighting men came first.
Be Seeing You,
Mummies don't need sleep.
Mr. Shaw, who was in charge of cataloguing the tons of conventional arms provided to Iraq by foreign suppliers, said he recently obtained reliable information on the arms-dispersal program from two European intelligence services that have detailed knowledge of the Russian-Iraqi weapons collaboration.
That sounds pretty solid!!!!
Thanks Peach. I will read it and then call it a night. My husband thinks I am married to the computer this week.
Good Night and God bless.
story from way back:
The recent discovery by the Bush administration's Iraq Survey Group (ISG) is fueling speculation, but is not proof, that the Iraqi dictator moved prohibited weapons of mass destruction (WMD) into Syria before the March 2003 invasion by a U.S.-led coalition. ....
The shift was followed by the movement of trucks in and out of Syria suspected of carrying materials banned by U.N. sanctions. Once the shipments were made, the agents would leave and the regular border guards would resume their ...etc
OMG.........Christmas has come early!
Ditto that, GWfan. Sleep tight and God bless you, too.

Works like a charm. ;O)
Ahh well... fun while it lasted... BWHAHAHAHAHA
All kinds of security storage thefts overcome seals easily and the IAEA never looked inside on their last visit.
But ya can't beat propaganda with factual things like that.
Looks like this story will be getting legs. Big legs!
Hey, but if Bush had put together a real coalition...
Thats my question ..I've seen serious news on here , Drudge etc and the MNM NEVER even mentions it ..
Oh,MY!..It sounds great!
Thanks for that post -- I'd remembered seeing a story that Russia wanted inspectors back. A nice slap in the face, I'd say.
Can't wait to see a joint press conference with Putin and Bush explaining that they had decided before the war that Russia would secure, catalog and authenticate the WMDs. Therefore, proving their existence and that coalition forces did not plant them. For international security purposes they have not been able to divulge this information and have no other option than to do so now.
Thanks for the tip.
Being a gentleman, I have stuck to that number since then. Now it seems I might have lowballed it. LOL
LOL...fortunately, one of my grandsons, bless is heart, gave me a mouse with a 'thumb ball' roller. much easier on my hand and wrist...but still!
Yes, 201 was a very good post.
>>Reporters talking to ABC News radio less than 30 mins. ago indicated John Kerry has stopped talking about this issue tonight. Another reporter indicated that it looks like Kerry has gone over the edge taking CBS and NYT with him.<<
Are you flipping serious???????
Please say yes!!!!!
Yes, excellent summary by section9!
BUMPin' It UP!!!
SO who are the real losers?
The French ... and the leftists in the democratic party who bet the house on a war hero, only to see him turn out to be a war whore.
The IAEA was had in North Korea (Kerry blamed Bush for that, too), just makes too much sense Saddam did too being the UN was enabling him.
I think the who UN inspector group is corrupt. Blix, ElBaradei, rememeber they had Scott Ritter. I know that is why Bush wants ElBaradie out, because he thinks he's been helping Iran and didn't go after Libya. That is why ElBaradei sent the memo about the "missing explosives".
I think Bush new this before we went into Iraq and he was probably very upset about having to wait because he knew all of these weapons were being taken out under the UNs noses and he had "to play the diplomatic route" first.
Ya soglasen! Po moyemy, Kerry ochen gloopy doorak! (Man, I wish I had a Cyrillic font)
Financial Times reporting this now also. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1259571/posts
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
There's no story there at Washington Times.
One thing I remember is that Czarist Russia played convoluted games of intirgue both against Britain in the Northwest indian Terr. and the Ottomans. Alliances switched often, Could Putin be playing a new Great Game?
I love your dancin'...I was attacked by a poster in full panic earlier today for daring to have faith and not sharing his feeling.
I believe this is the meeting at the ranch where President Bush and Putin became very sociable. Wasn't this the time President Bush gave Putin the cowboy hat that he accidentally wore backwards and President Bush called him "Rutin Tutin Putin"...
I know that Putin endorsed Bush 7 days ago and I think they truly have a cordial relationship.
Biden asking what relevance does it have whether it was broken by NY Times or CBS and questions if the WH knew they were missing last year, why didn't he tell us. Biden and Dowd not giving an inch and if Gertz's story proves true, Biden's concern should not be losing the Secty. of State position undoubtedly promised, but another term in the Senate.
Thanks for the link. I think I've been to that one, but I'm not sure.
Actually, I figured the WMD part out when I logged on and read the headline.
Of COURSE Putin ran off with the VX, etc.
But don't bother telling the folks over at DU that. Remember, Bush may be a good man, but Bush is STILL Hitler in their eyes.
Be Seeing You,
No . Wait.
You're makiing me have to think here. Because I know there's a scenario out there, maybe yours exactly, maybe something similar.
Plus....the Putin connection. Remember the love affair of Bush and Putin? Could it be that this was the agreement both of these men made, this plan, just the two of them, two men who had the fate of the world and decided, maybe after a prayer, that this was the simplest thing of all?
This is a bit much for me right now. But I know there's waaaaaaay more to the Iraq war than we know right now.
I agree, StarFan. I'd love to see Biden gone. How he's survived this long is a mystery.
All your October Surprise belong to us...
I think we would need a few more days for that timeline to play out. We'll see how this goes.
Late timing is tricky.
The DUI news in 2000 was about 1 week before the election.
That worked for Gore.
i don't see any of this on the news
"Kerry and Edwards know the whereabouts of the conventional munitions as well as WMDs through their positions on the Senate Intelligence Committee. They have been banking on the secret info staying secret."
Possible but do Kerry and Edwards ever show up to any of thise meetings? Didn't Kerry miss upwards of 80% of the Intelligence meetings?
I am loving this surprise. I can't wait to hear from Putiput.
"I think this story will be so huge that the MSM will be forced to throw Kerry under the bus"...
That is the funniest thing I have read in a long freakin time.
Astalavista, John "Fraud" Kerry..... ROFLMFAO!!!
Thanks be to God!!
