In an article on the press conference, the New York Times noted POW families were upset because it appeared Kerry, who had dropped out of a bid for a seat in Congress, was motivated by his own political aspirations, using the event as a springboard to political office.

And upset they should be. Remember the dismal reports of the SENATE COMMITTEE ON POW/MIA's reporting that they had talked to foreign govt's and were assured no POW's were left?

And that turned out to be a lie?

Can anybody tell me why Bush hasn't brought up Kerry's well known anti-war activities in the early '70's during this campaign? Being a prominent anti-war activist pretty much dispells any notion that Kerry would be strong on defense and on the WOT. It seems so basic to me, yet the subject is avoided like the plague by Bush.

Best I can figure is that he wants to keep away from it as far as possible because he is the leader of the free world, and he needs to be a uniter.

The 'Nam scars that the Swift Vets justifiably peeled back are UGLY, and they need to be done - just not by Bush.

I concur, The Kerry Camp made a strategic move to bury the VC connection.

The U.N. is involved at several levels as well.

The setup occurred in the second debate with Kerry's mention of "a unguarded ammo dump" and set the game in motion. The revelations were to come out today, most likely.

Dick Morris was freaked by the Kerry camps shift to the war and away from domestic issues.

I suppose we should have seen this coming.

The now revealed Russian connection to outbound shipment of ordinance and the U.N. admission of a mistake in the amount stored should defuse most of the interest in this. It should create many questions.

I don't know if there is time to get at the WMD angle in this, I sure hope so.

This information was supposed to be held close and not released, but Kerry has once again screwed up world affairs by treachery and deceit.
