ONCE again, John Kerry shows his instinct to go for the capillaries, rather than the jugular.

Kerry has embraced the dubious New York Times/CBS accusations about U.S. bungling permitting the theft of explosives from an ammunition dump in Iraq. The senator has chosen to predicate the entire final week of his campaign on the unsolvable mystery of what happened to the bomb-making material in the chaos surrounding the invasion of Iraq.

By stepping up to bat and running an ad in which he speaks directly into the camera in an effort to win votes over the issue, Kerry has made the dubious journalistic accusations his own and bet his credibility and his candidacy on the outcome.

How will we ever know when the explosives were removed from Al-Qaqaa and by whom? How can we tell if they were taken away by Saddam's minions before or after he fell from power, before or after the United States troops had passed by the dump? We can't, any more than we can tell who did what in the jungles of Vietnam 30 years ago.

Because we can't know the final truth of Al-Qaqaa, it was a ridiculous decision by the Kerry campaign to jump with all four feet onto the issue. When Kerry should be scoring aggressive points, he will find himself debating the fine questions of who did what in Iraq in the frenzied days of late March and early April of 2003.

This is the key. Kerry's actions in the final days of the campaign remind us all of his true character. Once again, he's attacking our military and leaders for allegedly mismanaging a war. Like the "genghis khan" and "village burning" charges of 1971, these can't be proven by direct evidence, and are based on the speculations of partisans with an agenda. We need to remind voters of Kerry's troubling pattern of always blaming America's fighting men and leaders for doing their jobs. Vietnam, Latin America, and now Iraq. John Kerry, always on the attack -- against America.

Bill Gertz is reporting in the Washington Times that the Russians and Iraqi intelligence transported the explosives out of the Iraq.

Just heard Kristol on Fox and he made this excellent point regarding the missing weapons story and how Kerry ran with it:

People on this forum were all over the President and Karl Rove on Monday and Tuesday for not forcefully countering this charge, right out of the gate. But now we see that John F'n Kerry has made this losing point the lynch-pin of his campaign. If the President had countered quickly and Kerry had not sensed "weakness", the Donks would have taken the shot and would have moved on to domestic policy by now. But now we go into the critical last weekend with the entire debate being conducted on turf friendly to the President.

Sometimes when you have a winning hand, you check instead of betting the pot. You want to draw your opponent in to the point where he can't afford to give up on his hand, then you lay your winning cards on the table.

Moral Of The Story: Don't play high stakes poker with President Bush...

Somedays I just get on a rant and get kerried away !

Our country is in grave danger from within by attacks on our electoral process and disinformational spin'n shineola medicne shows put on by socialist democrats and their presstitute handlers.

I fear not the terrorist with a weapon as they are a real an visable threat. IMHO the greater threat to our republic are polidiots such as J. F'n Kerry and company whos back door dark of night sedition is boiling the frog slowly per se.

Win or lose Tuesday our nation is in trouble and we have to go after every socialist regime from local dog catcher to distant dictator every day of our lives. It's not a task that can be put off for three and a half years.

Just like taking out the trash it has to be done every day or we find ourselves neck deep in stink.

Kerry is a liar, a socialist, a traitor and a sociopath without a conscience, but it is dangerous to assume that he is stupid. A socialist in Spain recently won an election because of a terrorist attack blamed on the incumbent. Now Kerry is trying to blame Bush for the threat of terrorists with bombs. What if Kerry and his terrorist allies plan to follow through? How many people would Kerry be willing to kill to become President?

The Bush strategy of calling him irresponsible is effective at winning votes, but a more aggressive approach is needed. Beyond winning votes, there is a need to remove the incentive for an attack. It has to be made clear that Kerry is giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and therefore encouraging attacks (whether he is collaborating again or not). Cheney was right on this one.

Any pending ads on Kerry's past history of collaboration should be released immediately. If delayed until election eve, such ads could be displaced by coverage of a terrorist attack.
