If this is accurate it sounds like some sort of thrombocytopenia. My friend's mom had ITP (the idiopathic, autoimmune variety) caused by a bad reaction to warfarin after surgery. Her platelet count tanked as her body was attacking and killing her own cells.

It didn't kill her but it could have - usually the treatment is lots of steroids (to supress the immune reaction) but she didn't respond to those. They ended up using IGG (I think - immuno gamma globulin) or something like that and she's ok now.

So those of you hopping up and down with glee don't get your hopes up yet - this may not kill him.

I'm no "Arab-fat" fan myself but I find it a bit disturbing to be so joyful over anyone's death. I won't be dancing in the streets, but I *will* pray that he is justly judged in the afterlife and made to pay for his actions.
