Sabato said New Hampshire not Ohio. Can somebody tell me why all the talking heads(including Brit, and Barnes) think Kerry has a good chance of winning Ohio.I dont but I dont live there.

How many in senate do we have now? 51? It would be great to pick up some seats...........personally I'm just praying that Thune wins. I'll do a jig if Daschle is out. :)

Last time I checked, Bush was ahead in 4 out of 7 polls within the last week in Ohio.

O.K., folks, don't know what this means with such a teeny sample, but I called 7 random homes back in my hometown and asked them for their vote for George W. Bush (identified myself by name, fact I was a Navy vet, and native of my hometown). SIX said that they had either already voted for Bush by absentee or planned to vote for Bush on Tuesday. All very nice responses! The one Kerry supporter was very rude and hung up on me (she sounded like Tarayza...although she didn't call me an idiot or scumbag!) :-)

That's the big problem. There are no current reliable polls out to give us a sense of where we are at in Ohio...

I didn't like his reference to internal polls though...

Fox News has got me depressed the past few nights. It seems like they take the most pro-Kerry poll and spin it as fact. Will someone out there give me some hope that W is going to win? I just can't bear the fact that 50% of my country is going to vote for a lying, immoral, babykilling, mean, effitist, traitor!

The only polls showing Kerry in the lead in Ohio have a 12% oversampling of Democrats.

I just checked out Realclear.politics (recommended by Rush and FOX) and virtually every recent poll shows Kerry leading now.

I've been watching the ALL the polls there for around a week, and it's been a see-saw with Bush and Kerry leading alternatively.
But this is the first time I've seen virtually every poll going one way.
Hope it turns around before Tues!

Fox is reporting the voter fraud in Ohio with registrations being challenged based on voter registration return mails. Thousands of them with fraudulent addresses.

It was about Ohio.

Ohio is rather worrisome to me. But the Bush team, from what I have read at NRO on The Corner, don't seem too concerned.

Rasmussen has Bush ahead in Ohio. I believe Gallup also had Bush is the lead there recently.

Sabato said in August that Bush was in "deep trouble", and it was "Kerry's election to lose". Sabato's not worth worrying about.

Sabato knows squato!

Whose internal polls - I don't think either camp would give Larry their internal numbers - are they his internal numbers and if so show them to us.

My impression over the last couple years is that Sabato is kind of like Zogby -- once he seemed middle of the road but increasingly he seems to lean left. I have consequently been ignoring him in recent appearances on Brit's show as I have a feeling he's more interested in trying to drive the news than report it. He seemed to be relentlessly pushing a "Kerry wins" map tonight, which doesn't jive with a lot of the other info out there. I sincerely hope his theory is disproven on Election Day!
