I think this interview helps Kerry a little. But how long were we going to keep an invasion force at the ready? Saddam was willing to play games forever, the "allies" were just not ever
going to call his bluff.
Giving an absolute ultimatum and then invading was utterly reasonable - the "allies" screwed it up, so what can we do in the face of that? They were too economically tied to Saddam's continued existence and too desirous of screwing the US to pull the trigger.
