LOL! I wonder if this will explain why the explosives are now "missing."

The bulk of the explosives may have been taken to Bagdad by the US Army. 200 tons worth.

200 tons will include some HMX and RDX plus conventional explosives. Perhaps he will specifically address the barrels shown in the video yesterday, that came from a non IAEA bunker. I'm betting they were not HMX or RDX

Is this good news for Bush, and if so, how?Because not only was it secured, it was destroyed. It wasn't looted, it's not in the hand of terrorists... it's destroyed.
Game. Set. Match.
To: CatOwner
It's going to put the lie to the NY Times story, and make Kerry look like an uninformed, anti-military ASS.

I think thats what they are setting Kerry up for....
To: CatOwner
If our troops disposed of the explosives, Kerry can't claim Bush negligence in guarding the explosives.

OK so will Kerry now sing the praises of our troops in Iraq???
After all they destroyed the weapons and protected themselves, people open to terrosits attack abroad and the innocents on the ground in Iraq.
Or will he say nothing about it? The Bushies should goat/challenge him about praising our troops. That could cost him plenty either way right now (his anti war anti military base or reasonably thinking people).
he said he was not disparaging the troppswhen he jumped on the exposives story so will he now praise their actions in creating more safety for all????

If anything this is enough to show that the U.S. was addressing the potential problems.
The fact that the stuff has not yet been used in the car bombs, now makes better sense to the public.
"It is dead, Jim!"
I think it is the last we will here from Kerry on this issue. We only need to get this disseminated by Tuesday.
As for me, the early voting was cool, because it gave me time to round up the entire family and we have ALL voted.
If anyone has not yet done so, I suggest you do and bring friends!

All right... WTF is going on.... first no one knows what happened to the explosives and it's Bush's fault... then there is proof they weren't there (NBC), then proof they don't know because they weren't looking (NBC-2), then they were looking (FOX, Pentagon), then the Russians moved them (Gertz), then video of trucks before the war (Pentagon), then video of drums of possible explosives (some affiliate), and now the Pentagon says they destroyed them.
Let's hope the American people aren't paying attention to this story, or Nader will get elected.

You know I may be beginning to see the game plan here. The Bush campaign has let Kerry talk about Iraq all week. He never pivoted to domestic issues instead choosing to play in Bush's backyard AND gets completely discredited going into the final weekend without an opportunity to respond until next Monday where he will have to spend the last day of his campaign trying dealing with this. Remember it wasn't just the DUI dirty trick that hurt Bush in 2000 it was also Al Gore going out and scaring Grandma (particularly in Fl.) that Bush was going to take away
