Sorry, but I recall that criticism long before Moore and his screed. He just made it more famous.

I didn't know about Bush reading to the kids prior to Moore's film, but maybe some did.

I'm pretty confident, though, that it wasn't *common knowledge* before Moore's film. Mentioning it wouldn't have made much sense before then -- meaning the video had to be made sometime after.

But setting that aside, Osama also mentions Kerry, so it could have been made no earlier than Kerry's nomination.

I meant that as President, as Commander In Chief, President Bush can't use cheap political stunts, or issue foolish spinning shit out to voters, as Kerry and his people are already doing, to make political hay out of this bin Laden tape. Of course President Bush wouldn't do that anyway.

I'm sorry I didn't make myself clearer on that.

Makes sense to me. al Qaeda hope that they can scare the voters like they did in Spain. Screw al Qaeda. If OBL is still alive, he's gonna be awfully disappointed after Bush is reelected.

Reading the "transcript" of OBL's tape from Drudge's site, this sounds EXACTLY like a bunch of DNC talking points.

Phrases like:
"free people don't let go of their security" (a poke at the patriot act? hmmm)

"Bush is still practicing distortion and misleading on you" (sounds just like some media fund kindling I just got in the mail)

"we were so fed up" (don't the democraps always say we just need to understand them?)

"goes back to 1982", (beside's W, who is the Dems most hated president?)

"killing our children and women" (Dems ALWAYS invoke the emotional hotbutton of Women and Children)

"the results of Sept 11 were successful in his opinion" (the lib's line about "fueling jihad?"

"Here he is being influenced by these regimes, Royal and military." (Moore's lie about Bush and Saudi's?)

" he transferred the oppression of freedom and tyranny to his son and they call it th e Patriot Law to fight terrorism" Another swipe at the lib's hated patriot act.

"putting his sons as governors" "to Florida to falsify elections to benefit from it" Yeah, right out of 9/11, This is lib propaganda. Either OBL is copying the DNC or the DNC WROTE THIS!

"execute the whole operation in 20 minutes. Before Bush and his administration would pay attention and we never thought that the high commander of the US armies would leave 50 thousand of his citizens in both towers to face the horrors by themselves when they most needed him because it seemed to distract his attention from listening to the girl telling him about her goat butting was more important than paying attention to airplanes butting the towers which gave us three times the time to execute the operation thank god." Yeah, right out of moore's book.

Bottom line is an american Lib wrote this. I don't know how they did it, but it's a fake sure as hell.

I didn't pick up any indication that the tape was recently made. What am I missing here?

Yeah, the "free people" remark really pissed me off. Tell that to the women and girls in Afghanistan during the Taliban. Tell that the women who are victims of honor killings, stonings and rapes. I spit on this animals version of freedom!
