Does consuming wontons at a Chinese restaurant make you an expert on Sino-American relations?
Patrick Swayze thinks so.
Just a week before the election, that’s the logic Swayze—the has-been “Dirty Dancing” actor—used in an absurd interview he gave to generate press for his wife’s latest failed film, “One Last Dance.”
Speaking with Agence France Presse (it figures he’d pick the French) while in Warsaw, Swayze criticized the United States for being “insensitive” and “disrespectful” in Iraq.
“I know a great deal about the Middle East because I’ve been raising Arabian horses,” he said.
I eat Italian ices, but, unlike Mr. Dirty Dancing, I’m not about to lecture Prime Minister Berlusconi about the economic situation in Florence.

I have to confess: I am not a fan of Debbie Schlussel.
I heard her bragging in a radio interview about being a size 2.
I also read her abominable column in which she crapped on women basketball players because they are SOOOOO TALL... gee, if a woman is TALL, she must not be "feminine" or even a "real woman," right?
As a strapping Amazon woman myself, I admittedly react badly to such crap; it sounds amazingly just like all the stupid things people say in grammar and junior high school, if you ask me.
So, while she may be right on Patrick Swayze, I'll take it with about a pound of salt coming from the likes of her.
BTW, someone on the net characterized her as looking like a "biker bitch" because of the tacky shirt, makeup, and bleached hair.
