Colorado teacher kicks student for wearing GOP shirt off campus

A part-time college instructor has apologized for kicking a student because he was wearing a Republican shirt. Fort Lewis College student Mark O'Donnell said he was showing people his College Republicans sweat shirt, which said "Work for us now ... or work for us later," when Maria Spero kicked him in the leg at an off-campus restaurant.

I agree! But furthermore, that woman should have lost her teaching position at that college immediately!! Frankly, I can't imagine any of my co-workers doing such a thing but I don't care which side of the political battle they were on, this is a firing offense. And I wouldn't hesitate to be vocal about it at my little college.

However, losing the position should be the small issue. It is assault. It should be prosecuted!

No she shouldn't. Her actions were a form of self expression due to the oppression she experiences every day by Imperialist America. Judges ruled that terrorism is "free speech", therefore this assault on a Nazi Republican can also consitute free speech.
