Geraldo just interviewed Col. David Hunt and allowed him to allege that the al-QaQaa explosives are now killing our servicemen!*&!
Perhaps this segment was pre-recorded, but then FOXNews needs to make an announcement and not broadcast the word "Live" in the corner.
The explosives we destroyed or the explosives the Russians took?
Absolutely NO proof of that.
If we hadn't waited fourteen damn months to go in, maybe we would have been able to secure/destroy the explosives before they were spirited away.

RDX and the others have not been used in terrorist attacks, they test this stuff people!!
I saw that - Hunt was way out of line. He knows that these IEDs are made from artillery shells and garage door openers, not RDX.
What in the world did terrorists use to blow things up before this ? Is it their premise that we would not be sufering casualties if these weapons never existed ?
who is this Col. Hunt one of those retired LTC that tell war stories or is in involved with the fighting in Irag...if he isn't it ain't a story but a uneducated opinion...

It takes a lot of time for logistics to be in place. I steamed about it too. And, we had to give the UN enough time to clean out the Iraqi banks.

I just posted this same subject over on the chat board. It seems that Col Hunt has done a 180 degree turn away from Presidet Bush. He use to be such a strong supporter.

What's with Hunt? I'd expect this from Rivera but not Hunt. Rivera must have asked him a leading question he went with without thinking. That's Geraldo's style. He thought he found WNDs in Afghanistan that the US military had missed. I didn't see it. I switched to O'Neill on CSPAN, where he was called a liar again by the DIM he's on with (Smith, author of 'Unfit Commander').
Not watching, but I don't think Col Hunt would ever say that. He is one of the staunchest backers of our troops and the President. Geraldo, on the other hand, drew the map in the sand of our troops assault on Bagdad. I.m sure he was just showing us where Capone was.
actually, Geraldo himself said in his opening statement that what he saw when he was embedded, was alot of attention to these ammo dumps by the troops. Then, Geraldo went into a segment with Jonathan Hunt, chasing El Baredi down a street in Manhattan asking him if he released this report this week to damage Bush politically. El Baredi gave some evasive answers - then Jonathan Hunt said El Baredi ran off, and called Colin Powell to complain about the questions!
Geraldo is a tremendous supporter of US troops in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

I saw it and he said it. He also said that the planning for the peace has been poor and they need many more troops and personnel in Iraq.
I will give the Col. a pass until I see the exact context and exchange between the two.
There are SO MANY enough munitions STILL in Iraq, unaccounted for, to keep the locals well supplied for years. We need to wipe Falluja off the map.

I'm not watching , so this is a guess: Maybe he meant that some of the munitions that were taken out of Al QuaQa before the invasion were now being used against the coalition forces. That would make more sense. Anybody?
David Hunt is from Massachusetts. Nobody from Mass. should be allowed to be int he military.

Un-freking-believable. Co Hunt has been one of my heroes throughout. I wish he hadn't said it. But, the lib Geraldo, will say anything against Bush. That's the way I see it. Thanks for the slap to get me back to reality!
If he said it, he should take it up with active commanders in the military, not President Bush! For him to be as politically naive as others are suggesting, means he should slow down, listen to himself, and realize he needs a break. When I hear stuff like this, I think even the best intentioned conservatives get an ego complex.
I also heard Col. Hunt say that...my head whipped around in shock..had no idea he was such a rat.
EOD and Intel people I had talked to stated RDX and other explosives UN and Geraldo worry about HAVE NOT been use against our troops.
Actually, Geraldo was actually defending the troops but Col Hunt clearly had an agenda.

and Geraldo may well have been the first person on FNC to say point blank that this Al Qa Qa story was released by El Baredi to hurt Bush politically.
I think he's pissed about Falujah. He wanted it taken down a long time ago. I remember him saying it needed to be flattened.
I have an idea for a game show that can't fail. It will be called,"Smash Geraldo's nose again and again and again and again and again and again and again...........
